Does anyone know when they start pulling people off the waitlist? Also, does your portal update with an accepted student checklist as someone that was waitlisted and is now being offered a seat?
 
When I was accepted back in December, you should see an accepted checklist on your portal where you’ll be able to put down the deposit.

Thanks. I meant if you’re on the waitlist, if it would be the same indication that you will be offered a seat.

pulling off of the waitlist usually happens after the April deadline. I received my acceptance around May-ish. Your portal will update the same way, you’ll get a phone call first so keep an eye out on numbers you may otherwise consider a spam area code.

do you happen to know how many people get pulled from the list or how much it typically moves?
just trying to keep my hopes up 🙂

This varies every cycle, and when I applied we weren’t fully accredited yet so I expect that had a lot to do with movement. They also don’t rank the alternate students, so unfortunately no way of knowing where you’re at in the process.

We primarily contact via our CVM or year specific FB pages, and tons of email reminders will be sent out for stuff too since anything other than email isn’t considered a fair way to address information as not all students may have easy accessibility/desire for social media type platforms. Just something to keep in mind.
 
Does anyone know if we will get a list of supplies we need and if so when? Is there a required computer or tablet?

I also am not sure how much I need to do about the dress code if anyone has any idea about that...Like do I need to buy a bunch of blouses and dress pants to wear to class every day?

You will get a list of supplies closer to the start of classes. I believe last years has been posted by someone in this thread, not sure where entirely. There is no specific type of computer/tablet required.

Dress code is gone more in depth during orientation week. However, it is student enforced and professors take note. No jeans are allowed (other than on Fridays when jeans/T-shirts allowed if MWU affiliated), your sandals must have backs to them, no leggings (unless you have a really long shirt/dress covering them, and a few other things are specifically discussed at that time.

Thanks, that helps! I am hoping to do some shopping before orientation so this gives me a heads up as to what to look for 🙂
 
Just got a phone call this morning that I was removed off the waitlist! I’m most likely declining my seat due to the cost of tuition but good luck to everyone else still waiting to hear something.
 
Is anyone else having some difficulties finding a place to live? I am struggling right now lol not able to go visit is super hard. Any advice???

I would post on the MWU CVM FB page, there’s a lot of people who live in apartments or houses close to campus who can help! Some are also posting about needing to find roommates for houses.
 
Sorry if this has already been asked or posted but is there a FB page for class of 2024 ? Or something like it for mwu? If so does anyone have the link?

I just heard from a friend at CSU that their classes are going to be online for Fall. Has anybody heard if we’re moving to online too?!

I was called within the last 2 weeks to let me know I had got off the waitlist and what he told me was that summer classes were online right now but they’re hoping the fall will be in person class. So I think it’s hard to say right now

We’ve been told that we will return in the fall. However, I wouldn’t hold your breath since it’ll depend on the state of the country at that time. Currently, clinics are happening in person (as of June 1st), summer research is happening in person, and summer classes online.
 
I’ve been looking into getting some supplies while I have some down time and have a few questions. Are we allowed to wear jogger style scrubs? Does anyone have coverall recommendations? And which stethoscope would be best to get? Thanks!

I believe jogger styles are allowed, I saw classmates wearing them in surgery. My coveralls I just got off of Amazon. For my stethoscope I have a Littmann Cardiology IV and LOVE IT. You won’t use it a lot (unless you do HOME mobile clinics) until 2nd year.
