NutMMeg and The Spice Girls at the OWWlyMMpics: Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Also, apparently my personality is just so innocent I can melt anyone with it. Last night I submitted a night action to melt Dubz, but apparently the mods lied to me about my personality.
I haven't gotten any action all game 🙁

Also, probably better that ya'll cracked my egg today. I don't think I'll be able to be around much tomorrow, so would've likely been voted out anyway.

Day 5

Nearly a week into their joyous gatherings and friendly(?) competition, competitors had tired of the singers that had infiltrated their ranks, because an owl totally is more welcome at the Olympics than some celebrities, or something. With one of them open about her identity from the gate, the others grew increasingly suspicious that she had been backstabbing them at night. She should've at least worn a fake mustache. That's much more believable.

Unfortunately for them, not every celebrity is a bad person... so when they unceremoniously threw her from the stands, it only took a little while to realize they'd chosen to dump a valuable member of the Olympic Committee.

Eliminated is @Stagg737 - Baby Spice, PMer

With yet another competitor gone and a poor showing at today's event so far, a judge got on the loudspeaker and announced, "DON'T LET ME GIVE THE GOLD MEDAL TO THE SPECTATORS." Where was everyone? This was an amateur event and everyone had day jobs too? Psh, that's silly.

Six players remain.

At least I wasn’t pocketed in PMs by a wolf this game! Gotta look on the bright side

@Viscernable do you have thoughts on this?
I’m still at genny as definitely the most likely final wolf for reasons I’ve previously said, Dubz getting no Genny Way feeling (leaning much less on this since Dubz isn’t village core to me), and a couple new ones Stagg pointed out today, but willing to consider Dubz

Like what if N3 was a conversion and AM has just slipped me in her pocket again? Someone with some knowledge needs to help me out.
Oh oof I didn’t really think about conversion since wolves got 2 extra kills

I really don’t know how Dubz would’ve managed to fire off that vig shot. Plus she has been on Bob foreverrrrrrr this game. Not sure if it was before or after the Chaos softing though

They already got a day vig and Pippy’s original extra kill

He was in my POE before. I just voted for cubs instead because I wanted my top 3 on the board.

Driving the later part of the day this whole trip has not worked well for me lol

and also that I did poor Stagg dirty by pretending to bite more on his Dubz sus than I was, throwing out the idea that maybe more people are suspecting Dubz than is apparent, and based on his response being even more sure on voting him. Looked like he was trying a hail mary to get Dubz into the misyeet pool since he would need 3 misyeets and there was no obvious one after genny and me, and to pocket me (I feel like I’ve been more sketchy than Dubz based on posting, just better on VCA, and I didn’t buy him putting me so far below Dubz in the POE), and was trying to be opportunistic on the idea I floated that more people would be willing to vote Dubz. Sorry Stagg, feels bad to misyeet a village PM partner :bag::sorry:

D1 sitting on Mel vote looks quite bad especially with TE making it the viable counterwagon. I wonder if hopping onto Z when he was at 2 would be a possibility for wolf Dubz and whether Bob joining on Mel (then Pippy self-prezzing there) was a possibility that wolf Dubz might have been more likely to encourage, since it feels unlike wolf Dubz to allow a packmate to go down without any direct fight in a close vote.

The latter would definitely have a been a risky move so unless Bob had been sussing Mel very convincingly earlier I really doubt the pack would have gone for that one especially with how fast things were changing - that level of coordination would have been extremely difficult.

Dubz getting on Z would also have been really tricky with her agreeing with him, not sussing him previously, and her current vote Mel voting for Z. I’ll have to see if the pointing out agreements was before or after Mel’s vote brought Z to 2 and whether Dubz was explicitly village leaning him before and/or after, but honestly it also feels like a reach that wolf Dubz would have made that move in any case.

So I think Dubz’s D1 vote looks wolfy (but obviously within village range)

D2 looks better, I think Dubz could have easily gotten onto the Enigma wagon instead of having to vote off-counterwagon. The question is whether she would feel she needed to. It felt from my perspective like the final vote was very uncertain from the beginning of the day, but maybe from wolfchat it looked like there were enough sure votes that they could confidently say Bob wasn’t going to be voted off, especially considering Z originally seemed to be planning to vote TE iirc. That’s shaky, but considering there would br just 2 wolves left and how much heat was on Bob, Dubz would have to do a lot more distancing than usual and there’s no way she could force the rest of her pack into village core at that point.

If they were planning the vig shot reveal (and especially if it was an item prize rather than Dubz’s ability) from the beginning I could see Dubz being on Bob’s wagon. Is it really bussing if you know you’re going to dissipate that wagon wildly? Again it feels shaky because it’s a big risk that bus would have turned into a hard bus since it would be possible people would not read the vig shot use as village.

How would they really know the wagon would dissapate wildly like that though? It was mainly just me freaking out and waffling all over the place with you and like 1 other person moving more logically. Plus we know for sure that Dubz was driving during the end of the day. Can people “schedule” a vig shot like that? Seems pretty unlikely

Idk this just seems like a different Dubz from the last true wolf game (emojis? Idk maybe it was basics). In that game, I was hoodwinked because Dubz had put in so much effort and dedication to the game and to wolfhunting. She really did force us to accept her and her pack and the village bloc. In baby animals, that was a bit different b/c of conversion, but she still felt different there than she has in this game. It’s more than strictly her tone, it’s how she plays. She seems more insightful and less controlling when she villages. And way more like she blurts things out or speaking openly. Like she just says what she’s thinking instead of preparing it and making sure it sounds legit.

I have never in my entire wolfing career let a wolf go down d1 if I could do something about it. The thought makes me gag.

I don't think people have been doing enough reading interactions between the wolves and the living players. I haven't had time to do so but like, I don't see how you could think my interactions with Bob were w/w. Interactions with pippy are less strong but are also there. And I really don't see how anyone who has played while I was wolfing could think that I would intentionally sit back and let d1 play out the way it did.

Yeah I don’t think it’s likely but I don’t want to have tunnel vision on exactly one possibility, considering how fast things were moving when TE made Mel a viable cw and how difficult it would have been to inconspicuously justify piling on him. Were you driving for D1? I was also wondering if things might have changed while you were gone and it was too late to deal in the way you usually would by the time you got back.

I just went back and looked and she was fairly active for at least the 2 hours leading up to yeet close on D1.
