In actuality, I do think it's a fun thread... its just a little cringey too lol.
My goal was to make a useful source for applicants (current and future). Now we all know whether to eat a big breakfast before we go to our interviews or not hahaIn actuality, I do think it's a fun thread... its just a little cringey too lol.
DEFINITELY do at Pitt...goddamn fruit bowl and granola...My goal was to make a useful source for applicants (current and future). Now we all know whether to eat a big breakfast before we go to our interviews or not haha
I didn’t apply there because I knew they didn’t feed people well (jk, but for different reasons. Maybe someone will say that next year, though)DEFINITELY do at Pitt...goddamn fruit bowl and granola...

I also don't use insta, but you're right, I'd definitely include acai bowls.Totally instagram material.
nevermind the fact that I don't use instagram
Instagramming your interview day food? Almost as big of a power move as writing a letter of intent over SDNTotally instagram material.

Let me know if you want to set it up! I'd also be happy to collab with our resident google spreadsheet maker extraordinaire, @limeyguydrshould make a Google form/ sheet thing for us extra people who have nothing to do (correction: A lot to do but don't want to do any of it except browse these threads and connect, on a spiritual and very emotional level, with all those in the same shoe)
omg yeah let's do it. i'll PM you!Let me know if you want to set it up! I'd also be happy to collab with our resident google spreadsheet maker extraordinaire, @limeyguydr
I'll put it at the top of this thread!Hey everyone! decided to make a form, it's super simple, lol: MD/DO Food Review
I'm going to make a separate thread just so more people see it, but the moderators will probably merge it later!
thanks! I actually just updated, because I had only included the form and not the response/Excel link. They are both there now!I'll put it at the top of this thread!
oh noooo I missed my opportunity!Let me know if you want to set it up! I'd also be happy to collab with our resident google spreadsheet maker extraordinaire, @limeyguydr
ahh true - solid work 🙂 you should make the school name a drop-down menu so that it's easier to format!
will do that after my exam this week....HAHAHA. thank you for the suggestion I'll definitely update it soon!!ahh true - solid work 🙂 you should make the school name a drop-down menu so that it's easier to format!
Colorado food was OK. The sandwiches were pretty but nothing to write home about. No avocado.
Ya I’d say Pitts the best one I’ve had so far. All my other schools have just been cold sandwiches but Pitts food was warm lol.Pitt has incredible food. They had the most amazing eggplant Parmesan you’ll ever eat
Uuuuuhhhh excuse me!!! I already raved about SKMC in the second reply. But thanks for triggering the withdrawalsSo we're just not going to talk about SKMC's lunch? Or is it supposed to stay some kind of secret? Because wow. 😍
I think I quite honestly missed the entire first page, I went back to look and each reply looked unfamiliar.Uuuuuhhhh excuse me!!! I already raved about SKMC in the second reply. But thanks for triggering the withdrawals
Create your own by picking out the lettuce from several sandwiches. Bonus points if you ask the faculty/students for theirs as well.Do they ever offer salads? Or just sandwiches? Asking for a friend...
@Moko thanks for the pro tip. I'll also look for an adcom doing the same. I'll give you a big smile and wave, so you'll know it's me. (I have no clue where you work, so I guess I'll just do this throughout the interview trail haha).Create your own by picking out the lettuce from several sandwiches. (Alternatively, just let the office know of dietary restrictions and they'll make sure you get something to eat too! Interview day is a two-way street.. schools also want to make a good impression!)
fill it out here! MD/DO Interview Food Review!Rush medical - make it yourself tacos with some kind of soup. Honestly we barely had time for lunch because we were sitting with current med students just quizzing them lol so it was really cool.
He's a national treasureI feel like this is the year of google forms lol between this and limey’s trackers there’s sooooo much to fill out XD
LOL sorry but honestly i have no life at this point anyway 😛I feel like this is the year of google forms lol between this and limey’s trackers there’s sooooo much to fill out XD
This coming from someone rated as an elite yelper? You should be proud of yourself @mayoclinicofficialSDNMayo deserves a 5 star Yelp review.
Georgetown does this as well. It was a pretty fancy restaurant within the uni but the food itself was like 6/10not sure if this has been posted before but UVA totally exceeded my expectation after lots of sandwiches for lunch
We ate at an actual RESTAURANT of the university and their dessert was great

But dinner the night before was aightNot sure if anyone reviewed HMS yet:
Bfast during orientation: Yogurt, granola, fruit, freshly baked mini-muffins (2-3 different kinds IIRC). Coffee.
Lunch with students: Chips/gauc/salsa, basic sandwiches, fruit.
No WOW factor, mostly OK food lol
Lots of cafes/food nearby campus however. Including a Starbucks right across the street.
Mediterraneanwhat did you have for the night before
