should make a Google form/ sheet thing for us extra people who have nothing to do (correction: A lot to do but don't want to do any of it except browse these threads and connect, on a spiritual and very emotional level, with all those in the same shoe)
Let me know if you want to set it up! I'd also be happy to collab with our resident google spreadsheet maker extraordinaire, @limeyguydr

Colorado food was OK. The sandwiches were pretty but nothing to write home about. No avocado.

Can concur. The only redemption is the campus. So beautiful 😍. But I’ve been eating sandwiches so much that if the next school offers sandwiches again, I would have to send them a rejection for sandwich overload.

So we're just not going to talk about SKMC's lunch? Or is it supposed to stay some kind of secret? Because wow. 😍

Uuuuuhhhh excuse me!!! I already raved about SKMC in the second reply. But thanks for triggering the withdrawals
I think I quite honestly missed the entire first page, I went back to look and each reply looked unfamiliar.
But seriously, I went home and told my husband "They really, truly spoiled us. It was amazing."

Do they ever offer salads? Or just sandwiches? Asking for a friend...
Create your own by picking out the lettuce from several sandwiches. Bonus points if you ask the faculty/students for theirs as well.

(Alternatively, just let the office know of dietary restrictions and they'll make sure you get something to eat too! Interview day is a two-way street.. schools also want to make a good impression!)

@Moko thanks for the pro tip. I'll also look for an adcom doing the same. I'll give you a big smile and wave, so you'll know it's me. (I have no clue where you work, so I guess I'll just do this throughout the interview trail haha).

OUWB:

Breakfast: fresh fruit (pineapple, strawberry, melon, grapes, probs some other stuff), scrambled eggs with cheese, bagels and cream cheese, yogurt parfaits with fruit and granola, pastries, Starbucks coffee and Teavana tea, OJ

Lunch: Chicken parm, spaghetti and sauce, create your own salad, bread, cannolis and puff pastries

Snacks: chips, granola bars, skinny pop, gummies, etc.

10/10 would recommend

Kaiser:

For breakfast they bought chicken, AVOCADO, and egg breakfast burritos from Panera and also provided Panera coffee and fresh fruit.

Lunch was a nice selection of sandwiches from Mendocino Farms. I think Turkey/Prosciutto, Caprese, and a third one that I can’t remember. Very very good.

9.5/10

Mayo: We got to pick anything we wanted from the hospital cafeteria which had everything (burgers, tacos, chips/salsa, a salad bar, fries, snacks etc and it was on the house. 🙂 Did I mention, we got to pick anything we wanted. Mayo deserves a 5 star Yelp review.

Unfortunately, MIZ-ZOU doesn’t get a 5 star review as they only provided cold sandwiches! However, they get 4.5 stars because it was brought in to us on a cool little cart. 😉

not sure if this has been posted before but UVA totally exceeded my expectation after lots of sandwiches for lunch

We ate at an actual RESTAURANT of the university and their dessert was great
The cheesecake made my day

Not sure if anyone reviewed HMS yet:

Bfast during orientation: Yogurt, granola, fruit, freshly baked mini-muffins (2-3 different kinds IIRC). Coffee.
Lunch with students: Chips/gauc/salsa, basic sandwiches, fruit.

No WOW factor, mostly ok food lol
Lots of cafes/food nearby campus however. Including a Starbucks right across the street.

But dinner the night before was aight

what did you have for the night before

WashU had some fresh cooked grilled sesame chicken with fried rice and green beans. Interestingly they supplied actual ceramic plates and metal cutlery. The breakfast was really good too. Breakfast burritos with like egg/veggies. They had the best coffee of any interview day so far too. It was definitely a light roast and I picked up notes of blueberry. Probably Ethiopian origin. (I am a coffee snob)
