I received an email last week from The Foundry Center saying they aren’t taking any residents this year and invited me to apply to another NYU Langone program for free? I was under the impression people had already interviewed there so it came as a surprise. Anyone else get this? If they truly aren’t taking any residents this year I would hope they would refund the application fee.

That’s weird because I have classmates that have interviewed there.

There was two options to apply for to this program as they are switching from match to non-match. One was match and the other was non-match. They are only taking from the non-match this year, and canceled the match application. They have filled all of their positions already.

Last I heard, their interview dates were all in November. They're having a separate Zoom meet and greet with current residents and interviewees this Friday, so that might indicate that they're done interviewing

you can submit your rank anytime and it won't change anything. same with the order; rank your favourite as #1, no need to worry about which one is more or less competitive. it match favor the participant, not the program. there is nothing that influence the result or the algorithm.

Pretty sure it's a soft rejection, but post match is a whole separate thing. You can apply anywhere that has an open seat for post match.
