Can one apply to GPR's if they already applied for Ortho? Can we just send a PASS application to some GPR's by the October deadline? Or is that not allowed if we already applied to a specialty?

Congratulations! I received an interview at Indiana as well. The interview dates aren't on the 1st and 2nd though, correct? That's just an informational and the interview dates will be sent at a later date.

the interviews are on the 1st and 2nd. the first email did not make that clear but the email that you get after responding is more clear

Seton Hill sent out interview invites. Look like they are setting dates (09/24) for individuals already via Zoom.

Yeah same.

This thread is making me bipolar. I got interviews at the first two places that showed up here that I applied to, and felt great. Then I saw a few more schools that I applied to and didn't get an interview at, and I started to feel like a trash candidate. Then I get another one and feel good.. but I know the cycle will repeat itself lol.

I remember reading a study where like if you had six interviews or something you had like a 94% matching into a program (those numbers are probably off). Does anybody know what study I'm referring to? I can't seem to find it anywhere anymore lol

I also got interviews at both Iowa and Oklahoma and was feeling pretty solid, but I have yet to get another interview offer with three of the schools I applied to passing me up. I’m shooting for five interviews. Fingers crossed

Also cleaned up the list to remove the extra San Antonio on the previous list:

well if you’re getting interviews from programs the likes of Iowa and Oklahoma, chances are you are an extremely competitive candidate and have nothing to worry about. Those two schools take the top of top.

This whole process is a crapshoot, don’t take rejections too seriously.
No idea what study it is exactly but I remember seeing something from MATCH that the magic number is 4-5 interviews for a very, very high chance of matching somewhere.

Someone mentioned getting an interview from Seton Hill today, I would probably add that to the list as well!

Any idea if Indiana has sent out the invites in one go? Or are they send to send some more.
( still hoping against hope)

Yes. Maybe because I sent out follow-up emails to them like a maniac.

ugh same with me and called/left messages but no responses ever. oh well, that’s the process!

congrats to you! good luck with the interview!

Has anyone received an application complete email from Colorado or Jacksonville?

Are you getting complete emails directly from the school or through PASS?

Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Sharon never responded, however benjamin replied back to me stating that the application is complete. Though it wasnt a formal completion email.

Same story here.

Has anyone heard anything from either University of Pittsburgh or University of Rochester Eastern Institute? Just asking because their application deadlines were Aug 1 - I figured that they might have sent interview invites already.

Is everyone getting completion emails through PASS? For those who applied to Tufts, did you get the email with the link for the payment information? Could you please tell me what the "sent from" address is? I need to see if this is an ADEA issue or program issue? Thank you so much.

My completion emails are coming directly from the schools.

University of Pitt sent invites via phone yesterday morning.

The PASS application has officially opened for the 2021 cycle. Let's use this thread to relay any information that we receive from ortho programs and ask questions.

Where do you guys find Ortho statistics on Match? I am only able to see medical match stats

Any program that is three years and makes you get an MS degree is prob more research heavy
Then UBC Ortho must be research-heavy! Does that also mean that they don't focus on clinical training?

University of Nebraska Medical Center sent out interview invites through phone for Oct 15, 16, and 19

University of Tennessee sent out email invites for zoom interviews

Big congrats everyone! and love the excitement but can we please keep this forum organized and add interviews to the list that was started?

You can look up the previous threads SDN Ortho 2020 or 2019. The issue is that due to Covid none of the interview schedules are on track. As of this point last year 20+ schools had sent out offers whereas this year it’s the low teens.
