I’m 1 for 5 so far,
I try to cheer up myself that at least I got one, but damn I feel like ****
having at least 2 or 3 will give me some sort of insurance, and boost self esteem

Did anyone receive an invite days after the one listed? For instance let’s say received an invite on 9/01, did someone receive theirs several days later?

I am also guessing this year since everything is virtual, nobody really needs to decline the interview, so they won’t need to give any refused interview to other candidates. (More post match spots as a consequence for this year???)

I received one from Tennessee yesterday instead of the original posting of September 11th.

Can you extrapolate on how the post-match process works and why you're speculating that more spots might be available this year? Thanks so much!!

Fewer people potentially attending the interviews as there are fewer conflicts since everything is online this cycle. This means there may be more spots left unmatched for post match which is a scramble to contact these schools with post match positions and apply there in hopes of attending following match day.

Thanks so much for explaining. Any insight into how to "post-match?" Do you need to have interviewed there if there is a position available or do you simply need to contact the program and "sell yourself" to the director/admissions committee?

The latter. You can apply to any program that has vacant spots during post match.

After emailing Buffalo yesterday: "We are in the very early stages of the selection process and applicants will be notified via email of the status of their application as soon as a decision is made."

Does anyone know if Buffalo has historically sent out invites in waves?

I would also like to know this.

As mentioned by others... is it the case that not all interview invites for a given school are sent out all in one shot?
bc of COVID?
Do you think all of the schools are doing this?
Is there any evidence of this idea, or is it just a hypothesis?

My son hasn't gotten any interviews and he has pretty solid credentials, so I feel like this would explain it. But who knows...

Thoughts? Insights?

Hey, I'm curious did anyone else receive an interview at UMKC besides the original poster?
 
I saw someone post earlier that UConn sent out interviews but I don't see it on the list - anyone know if they were definitely sent out?

This whole process is a crapshoot. Programs look for certain things in their candidates regardless of your achievements. It sucks, but one interview is better than nothing.

Has anyone interviewed anywhere in previous cycles or at Iowa this year? It would be helpful to know what to expect/what questions are common during interviews.
