WildcatJ is found petrified outside the castle grounds after being saved by Jjohnston's questionable lynch veto today, and kakurubird is seen wandering around the castle very confused, and rumor has it she missed Potions class! Surely Snape will make her do detention for that, even if she was confused!

Most disturbingly, a poor first year Hogwarts student runs into the Great Hall screaming hysterically. The professors run into the hall bathroom to find Nyanko, Penelope Clearwater, dead, surrounded by a pool of blood, no doubt the victim of the sectumsempra curse. However, there are no doubts about the affiliations of her murderer, because the dark mark is present above nyanko's body.

It is now Day 8. Lynch deadline of 2 pm cst, or sooner if plurality is reached.

Ok, so I was the one who petrified wildcat. I was told that I caught her as she was leaving from another duel. I wonder if this was a duel involving the curse sectumsempra? Also, what appeared to be a ghost told me that being able to not be investigated makes a wolf a little chatty.
 
Woohoo, finally unsilenced! 😀 Being petrified gives you lots of time to think, but unfortunately I haven't come up with anything. I also kept the love potion while I was silenced, but I don't have it any more.

Sorry for doubting you, nyanko, when you were a villager all along. 🙁

Well, the only person that wasn't able to be investigated thus far is Nyanko, and SHE didn't turn out to be a wolf.

Another bogey it sounds like.

But Nyanko might have been on to something... Maybe thats why the wolves killed her?

I have awesome intel to share, my source can CONFIRM that heylodeb does indeed have the dark mark!! Shes a wolf!

Oh and apparently I need to make sure to include with my results that heylodeb had the crystal ball as well, but peeves swooped in and stole it from her, making her unable to investigate last night.
 
Well, I'm going to be gone all day tomorrow with VERY little likelihood that I'll be back before 8pm. And if I am back before then, I'll be with the horse. So yeah...not looking forward to trying to figure out the thread when I get back.

Pay attention to Nyanko's post, I think.

Oh - and I had the crystal ball last night and was going to investigate a hogwarts teammate and it was stolen by Peeves as I was just getting settle or concentrated or something. Fan-freaking-tastic. (for those of you who will read a million things into this: Tried to investigate someone but item taken before results were given. Don't think it has any thing to do with the person I was investigating)

No one has investigated me that I am aware of and I've told no one my role in the game (my group mates can attest to that).....

I'm on my way to the horse show and wanted to check in. Booo can't believe we lost Nyanko! Wonder if you were on to something. 🙁 will have to check the thread later for clues. Seems we won't get any results from the crystal ball since from 2 people are saying peeves stole it (is that one of the dead?). So did anyone have the legimens spell last night and investigate?

I will try to check back in a little bit.

The other duel was with me. I also tried silencing her but she had protego and it bounced back to me. luckily I had Impedimenta last night and I was protected by my spell.

I had a ghost tell me something as well: A black cloud hangs over ravenclaw? The house is tainted with multiple types of evil.

In the information I received peeves is mentioned stealing heylodebs crystal ball. I am inclined to believe that stealing, especially since she posted the same exact story right after I did.

If no one had investigative items, how can you confirm it? A couple hufflepuffs have been really suspicious of her for a little while but I want to make sure before we lynch her.

Okay so I just thought of something, not related to who is a wolf since I'm convinced about heylodeb 🙂 but about the whole ghost thing.

4 ghosts we know about:

Bloody Baron - slytherin ghost
Helena Raveclaw - ravenclaw ghost
Fat Friar - hufflepuff ghost
Nearly Headless Nick - gryffindor ghost

If I had to guess the ghost of the bloody baron would work for the side of the wolves, would want to send messages that helped the wolves. Helena is hauty and proud and would probably be inclined to send messages that just help her, maybe sometimes favoring one side over another. Nick would always send good messages, always help the villagers. Fat friar isn't discussed as heavily in the books so I'm not sure what he'd do

Peeves I think is like WTF's role in SOVs game. Peeves causes choas to whatever side he likes.

Soo the sucky part is it doesn't sound like any of the ghost messages are signed. So this theory is sort of irrelevant. But just something I was thinking about!

Well...I know he stopped mine. I would copy and paste the message from the mods if I could. I was trying to investigate JJ to check for a conversion like someone...nyanko? suggested yesterday.

I really wouldn't be surprised by Peeves causing havoc and taking both items, especially with how much those two items were talked about yesterday. I think it is becoming more and more likely that the dead/ghosts are playing with us.

let's just say that one item was granted extra capabilities last night by the Mod Gods and whoever was given that item today/tonight will be able to use it in the same way again.

But the game would be a little bit broken if he were really able to do both. He would essentially stop all investigation for a night. Maybe he can block a certain type of action?

I definitely think the ghosts are messing with us.

Considering those were both the investigative items we knew about, I would say he could choose to stop an action. Perhaps that is why JJ was forced to change her action? Maybe this Peeves character stops actions? I dunno.

I was just trying to investigate the suggested with the first item i've gotten. And figured there was no sense in not saying what happened with it, especially considering the severe lack of information we have gotten from those items.

What do you mean JJ changed her action? Are you talking about the veto? If so, that was a day time action with no mention of Peeves. All this chaos stuff seems to happen at night.

Also, I wouldn't say we have gotten a lack of info from the items. Every person cleared helps narrow down our search.

Yeah I meant the veto action. She mentioned something glowing over her no? Guess my mind went to ghostie again. I dunno it was just a possibility.
