Official Holiday WW Game Thread

Or LIS should just see the light and change his damn vote.... if he wants a villager win - that is what needs to happen.... but the old man is being stubborn.....😛

********************
I can't complain about Nohika. I meant to wake up this morning and vote, and slept through the deadline.... of course, mainly because I was ranting against JDH past 1am.

Really getting sick of writing out ****e if you are not even going to take it into account.....

Well, write out something compelling that's more suggestive of you being a villager than a wolf. I did "take it into account" - and I pointed out that either way, whether you're a villager or a wolf, you'd say the exact same thing. So it's not of use in tilting the meter one way or another.

Nohika could just as easily be lying, but for whatever reason you believe her over me.

I stated my reason.

And frankly, if Nohika were the last wolf, I suspect she'd be hounding this thread just WAITING for my vote against you, so she could jump on it, end the game, and win. The fact that she hasn't really points more toward you being the wolf than her being the wolf.

You keep telling me I'm wrong, you keep saying the villagers will lose when you're lynched, but you keep offering up scenarios that really don't prove anything one way or the other.

I wish I was Frosty "turned Naughty". This would've been the best game ever for me to be the final wolf in. Would've been an easy win at some point.

Sorry guys. I had a final and then had to go get a gift for my mentor and I got on first-thing when I got home.

Unless devyn has some kind of miraculous escape-y powers, villagers win.

 thanks you big jerk

I am pretty sure it was Game of Thrones.... you ended up converting SnS then killing her right after....

Oh yeah, right, right. I remember there was that big to-do about converting SnS and then killing her, and people thought we did it intentionally (the conversion -> death). I don't remember the details now, but we did NOT convert SnS in order to kill her - it just rolled out that way.

Ok, I may have played you a bit in that game. But you (villagers) won in the end anyway, right? 🙂

typical :d Let's wrap this up!
*********************

I think we missed Dyachei's window. I tried to hit her up on Facebook to let her know Nohika voted, but she appears to be out bowling.

Maybe we should just go ahead and do the write-up ourselves? That would be a first: Players finish game for the mod. How would you like to die, Devyn? 🙂

exsanguination.... mayhaps.....

Villagers lose........

and the END

She's on the thread. Also, can anyone ever stop a conversion? Stupid question but idle curiosity always gets the better of me.....
**********

I think some mods have given the convertee a "convert or die" choice. If I were modding and had a blocking item/role, I'd let it apply to a conversion attempt if I were also making the wolves pick a specific person to perform the action (and that was the person that got blocked). If I were just having the wolves act as a group I probably wouldn't let the blocking item/role block the conversion. Just me, though.

It depends on the game and the mods. Some will have protection that blocks conversion, some won't. Some will allow them to choose whether to be converted or die. It depends.

Most commonly, no, conversions are not protected against.

It actually wasn't LIS. It was the dead who sent an anon message saying I was a wolf on the exact same night I was converted, and it was a night where no PMing was allowed...so no one knew what the heck was going on 😛

And of course, there's those few times where someone is unconvertable.

LIS, I noticed that, too! 😆 Votes have already been made and they are still not letting on.
Hardcore.

Hey Dyachei, can we at least call the voting closed so we can talk and not have worry in the back of our minds about some last-minute voting change when the voting is "technically" still going?

Not so much. I might be wrong - no argument there - but I think I made the best choice with the information I had. If Nohika is a wolf and the wolves won - they played a great game. If you were a wolf and the villagers won - we pulled it together at the end and saved our asses.

*shrug*

Well it's a good thing I planned to be up all night anyway. Stupid finals.

What happened was that we converted SnS because she was Devyn's protector. The ghosts sent sheepdog an anonymous PM saying that SnS had been converted not knowing that she was actually converted that night. Then SnS was lynched based on the anonymous PM before she even knew she had been converted. It sucked.

The remaining villagers are determined to have a Merry Christmahanukwanza and set out to find the last villain - even if that means that there will only be the 2 of them left. By using some deductive reasoning, they determine it must be Devyn.

They string her up with Christmas lights and question her ad nauseum. But she sticks to her story. Are they doing it wrong? Did they choose the wrong person? Nohika and LIS decide not and tie lead brick presents around her feet and throw her into the nearby hot springs.

Devyn, Jack Skellington turned evil sinks to the bottom of the springs.

Villagers win. But wolves came very close. good game to all and to all a good night.

Sweet!! Nice game, Dyachei!

So, you knew this question was coming, D, but: Just what *was* my role ability with regard to nighttime protection? One-time thing? Percentage chance to avoid attack? Permanent protection?

(I may have implied I couldn't be killed at night by wolves; in truth, I really had no idea if I could or not. Dyachei never told me. I really was Cindy Lou Who, though. No other abilities that I know of.)

Yes!!!  That was scary at points!

I think this is the first villager win I've made it to the end of? That I knew who to lynch, anyways. Even if not everyone believed me...

Your role was a 1 time get out of death free - either lynching or wolf attack. You would have died the second time. the wolves told me they though you were indestructible though.

I figured perma-protection would be too much to hope for. But I decided to take a page from SOV's playbook from a number of games back and exaggerate my capabilities. When in doubt, borrow strategy from the good players.

At least, I think it was SOV that did that?
