Any tips on the best way to research this school to prepare for the interview? I read the information on the website but still don't feel like I have a good grasp on the program
I'm renting a car. I fly in the night before. What times are your flights?I have a quick question,
how are you guys get from and to the airport from the hotel? Super shuttle? or taxi? or you did rental car?
Also, in the invitation email it said it concluded at 2:30, is it true for you guys?
Please help!!!!!

midwestern has a nice SIM lab and they love people who can work in groups ! they are very involved in the community. at least every other month , they host some community event. they also have open door policy and you should mention that you value the support system schools offer! they even have a therapy dog , named gracie!!Any tips on the best way to research this school to prepare for the interview? For my interview, 2 years ago, super shuttle was the cheapest option for me from the airport to Drury Inn. Keep in mind though, the Shuttle transports other people who also have similar destinations to you; therefore, you may not be the first one dropped off. You could be in the shuttle for a good hour plus if you happen to be the last one dropped off (happened to me both times I've taken the shuttle and I believe it's because the location around MWU is the most North the shuttle goes). Also, if you plan to take the shuttle after the interview give yourself enough time, because again, the shuttle may be picking up other people on the way to the airport.
That's very helpful, thanks so much! I'll definitely orient my responses accordinglymidwestern has a nice SIM lab and they love people who can work in groups ! they are very involved in the community. at least every other month , they host some community event. they also have open door policy and you should mention that you value the support system schools offer! they even have a therapy dog , named gracie!!

You'll be interviewed by 2 faculty members and 1 D2 student.
All 2 Doctors and D2 interview you at the same time.Hello! Does anyone know if it is two faculty members and a d2 student interviewing you all at once? Or are they all separate? Such as three small interviews with each of them.
All 2 Doctors and D2 interview you at the same time.
You'll be out at 2:30-3pmAnyone want to share cab after interview on Oct-26?
And the one who already interviewed, how long the whole interview process takes place?
Thanks in advance
From 8 to 2:30-3:00?You'll be out at 2:30-3pm
- It's pretty easy to find the school. They have a gate to check you in and they will show you where to go. It's obvious. For people who have interviewed here already, how did you find the school, faculty, and facilities?
- Also how did you get from the airport to hotel, and hotel to the school?
Updates for MWU-AZ: There will not be any Prosthodontist, Pediatric dentist, Orthodontist, or Dental Public Health dentist on staff in the clinic.
For now. Guarantee they don't leave those spots vacant forever, and I'm pretty sure two of those are already in the contract stage of hiring. Can you tell me those doctors who have held those spots most recently were really that amazing? Hardly. I consider this cleaning house and for the improvement of the program. I imagine your timing of this post stems from the fresh ortho change. My take, is that the ortho experience is about to get a whole lot better for students.
* edit - None of my comments are regarding the public health specialty. No idea if we had/have/will have that around...and I doubt many students care.

I care about Public Health
Does anyone know if the interview is open or closed file?

What does that mean?Does anyone know if the interview is open or closed file?
Open means they have your application in front of them and can ask questions about it in particular, closed means they don't have itWhat does that mean?
They pretend that they don't have it.Open means they have your application in front of them and can ask questions about it in particular, closed means they don't have it

Are you a student there or did you interview there this cycle?
How did you find out about the staffing and that it was vacant for 1+ year?
How happy do the students there seem?
Are there any more negatives to this school you'd like to share?

This is not an accurate statement. There is a Prosthodontist, Peds Dentist, and the Ortho just left and they are in the process of hiring a new one...
Hi Capsaicinguy, my interview is on 11/3 tooI am interviewing November 3rd.
Yes, I am a D2 here and just confirmed it with a D3 who is at the clinic.
Where did you get this info from?
My info is from students in the clinic. My understanding is MWU have experienced GPs working in those specialty areas, but they are not actual specialists. Correct me if I am wrong.
