sorry shorty its a one way convo for now. And largely just my out loud thread musings. Mostly for the live people, but I am curious for your answer in dead chat one day (hopefully after a long happy life and a village win).

I don't think Enigma is wolfy either, for the record. Looks like bait.
Bait set by who and how? Wolves don’t control the actions of villagers, so I don’t understand how they would set up TE as “bait” based on her posts and people coming to her defence. Do you mean that the people defending her were wolves defending her so that suspicion gets put on them and her together, but mostly her, and then they get village cred when she flips village? That’s the only thing I can think of and it feels like there’s too many places it could go very wrong for the wolves for them to go for that strategy.

[misyeet] bait. Usually when a villager acts obscenely sketchy or otherwise shoots themselves in the foot so wolves have little to do to get them misyeeted. Looks enticing to other villagers when in reality it was a wasted cycle. Hence, bait. Not unlike clickbait.

Though you'd be surprised to hear extremely skilled wolves can, and do, control the actions of villagers.

I don't get how Tele enigma is the linchpin for so many people right now.

Seems like some people think its apparent that Tele enigma is village and judging everyone based on that assumption and their 6 degrees of separations from her, and others think its apparent that Tele enigma is wolfy and judging everyone based on that assumption and their 6 degrees of separation from her.

I'm just not seeing anything super strong to make her the foundation for sleuthing out everyone's affiliation right now.

I mean, every read you feel strongly about should be the jumping base for people you're otherwise unsure about. If you can't glean relationships based off your strong read(s), is it really a "strong" read?

Just wanted to let you all know that I’m still alive IRL. I have about 8 pages to get caught up on tomorrow.

I had a rough day. Spoiler because it’s long and not game related.

My laptop’s hard drive decided to fail today in the middle of online classes, so I spent time at Best Buy trying to troubleshoot and get/order the correct stuff to fix it. I am currently without a laptop and slightly panicking since I have multiple assignments due this weekend. Then after the laptop fiasco, I drove a few hours to meet my bf’s family for the first time. Dinner went well at least, but then I drove back home to deescalate a conflict between my roommates that ended with both of them yelling and slamming doors.
That was partially a rant and partially an explanation as to why I’ve been absent all day. I’m too mentally exhausted to get caught up on WW tonight. I’ll be back tomorrow.

Yes I agree with that concept. I don’t personally have a *strong* read on enigma, and for some reason multiple people are using her as a strong wolf *and* multiple people are using her as a strong village with which to judge everyone else. Why did you ignore that whole point of my post?

I just don't understand why it would bother you that other people are getting a headstart on solving, especially if you don't feel either way about Enigma yet. What do your reads look like now?

I don’t know if you’re intentionally misunderstanding or what.

1. I am always working on game solving
2. I prefer others are game solving as well
3. I have already stated Enigma is a slight village lean for me
4. What I am asking is how everyone has suddenly focused on Enigma as so super freaking obvious that her role can be used to uncover everyone else. Because A: there are 2 groups saying this, 1 perceiving her as a wolf and 1 perceiving her as a village. And B: I don’t see strong evidence one way or the other.
5. I can give you the rest of my reads when I get back to my computer. I’m on my phone currently.

I don't think anyone is hyperfocused on Enigma. She just is a hot topic of discussion for being the third leading wagon. It's not about her role, it's about her interactions/posts and wagonomics.

So you’re from the “she’s a wolf” camp that thinks that wolves were trying to start other wagons to protect her.

maybe she was just another villager? Maybe a wolf was never under any heat?

as always it’s noteworthy to see who tried to steer a wagon to or from someone, but we don’t know any of those affiliations yet.

also, I remember that it was discussed earlier that shorty was trying to defend enigma, and shorty flipped village.

No, I think she's village.

Interesting. So we had 3 villagers under fire, 2 that got yeeted in a tie. So how does that help us?
It means we look at who was pushing the wagons + the 15 other wagons that existed throughout the day closer. Everyone wasn't just clustered on shorty or prints (thankfully). Given the tally proves every wolf voted, we have an arsenal of VCA to explore.

okay I have literally spent the last hour googling and reading old Microsoft user-user forums to try to solve why when I try to copy from excel and paste here, it creates an image. I know someone told me there was a right click thing I could do but I'm not seeing how (outside of Microsoft products aka onto SDN).

Village leans: Viscernable, vetschools, enigma, genny, mayo
village/??: AM
???: doggo, alley, barks, Dina, SAR, Bread
wolf/??: Cray, WZ
wolf lean: April, Lou, Kras, Zenge

Pasting first to Word and then copying that formatting to paste here should work

For those who have more experience playing with Cray than I do, do you think the "Vote shorty uh oh that made a tie" was a wolfy move to get two villagers yeeted last-minute or that was a genuine mistake?

Hearing more from her last night made me get a bit more of a village vibe from her. Lowering her down on my sus list. I still don't know 100% what to think of that last minute vote change so will be looking more into other people today in the meantime but keeping that for future reference if needed

Agree with AM, that's why I made the nostalgia comment. Cray has a funny relationship with ties

N1

After a brutal D1 decided by unforgiving tie mechanics, the SDN emoji community were desperately hoping things would be better.

Tragically, the night turned out to be deadlier than they expected and Lawpy continues to be sadder.

Dead are @Viscernable , who was 😀 a Vengeful Villager, who may kill someone on their yeet wagon if they get yeeted; @genny , who was 🍰, a 1x Day Village Vigilante, who may kill one player during the day @sunshinefl, who was ☀️, a Village Emoji Giver; and @LaineyLou, who was :shy:, a Village Emoji Giver

It's now D2. Yeet close is tomorrow 1/31/2021 at 10 PM EST/9 PM CST/8 PM MST/7 PM PST

woah that was a bad N1.

rules clarification: if genny could kill someone during the day, would that have been revealed in the yeet writeup (the end of the day) or does the kill not happen until nighttime (aka, genny would be responsible for one of the kills?)

Day vigkills are instantaneous so she just holstered yesterday.

Seems a shaky assumption
which is why I asked for clarification, which then made clear my assumption was incorrect. I'm okay with being wrong and correcting it. for all we know no wolves killed and there's four other killing mechanics at play, but I like to think through likely scenarios.

Yes, what I'm saying is likely scenarios also include wolves having multiple kills, or multiple packs existing. AM is gonna say it's fine because you're new, but restricting wolves to one kill or less in the thought process is...hmmm.

I'd hazard a <1% chance of the bolded ever being true even if this game is stretching the limit of "basic" mechanics.

Sorry, that's not what I meant but i can see how it read that way and I should clarify. My understanding of mechanics is that wolves usually get (at least) one group kill per night, and then may have additional available kills depending on rules and abilities. I think it's typically fair to assume that one wolf kill is attempted each night at minimum, though it could potentially be blocked or there could be weird rules in play. So the unaccounted for kills may ultimately be accounted for by extra wolf kills, or by another killing mechanic. but I'm only comfortably initially assuming that one minimum wolf group kill.

Are you reading that as a village kill?
Not necessarily. I need to read more, I just got done driving and only read who died. I would like to imagine that whoever killed Lainey did so independently (because I think in a group of wolves, at least one might have the decency to say no, that's not fair to a nooblet N1) but otherwise I have no clue as of this moment

Interesting perspective.

It seems like “Village Emoji Giver” is a common role that keeps showing up for the dead, may they Rest In Peace.

Did anyone GET an emoji last night that they’re willing to talk about?

This would be a smart wolf move (play up niceness to redirect blame for the noob kill), but from what I've seen from April they might genuinely just be that nice...

I think I might be overestimating the integrity of wolves but I also don't see why a wolf would want her dead. Then again I've never wolfed so maybe there's a reason I can't understand yet. I'm just getting the vibe that there's a vig somewhere out there especially given FOUR kills in one night and I want to look back to see who might have been sus of Lainey
