StardeWW 2: Ginger Island - GAME THREAD

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Because if she flips village, then that leaves me with only miranda as a possible wolf that doesn't involve some serious tomfoolery.
And if she flips village then that would make tomorrow Lylo pretty sure

No we should have one more day and *then* LyLo unless there's shenanigans.

8 village deaths to parity if there's two wolves

Unless you know something about numbers that we don't 🧐

Okay so one person dies tonight which leaves us with eight people. If we misyeet tomorrow then we have seven people left, someone dies overnight then there's six people. So lylo would be the day after tomorrow?

Like how they work
(This is in jest, to be clear. I cannot resist the opportunity)

I think I spoke way too soon on this

What is this "everything"
I mean I know Everything Everywhere All at Once swept the Oscars but certainly no need to sweep SDN

Day 4

"That shady-looking guy in the back? I'm not supposed to talk about it."

The bouncer tipped his sunglasses down, surveying the situation he'd found himself in. He assured everyone, over and over, that he had everyone's best interest at heart. He was guarding the casino - and everyone knew about how prized casinos were around here.

Well, at least the ones that hadn't been burned down by owners fleecing people out of hard-earned money and enchilada hats.

The bouncer could understand the accusations, to some extent. He was a shady guy. A hulking figure standing at the back of the Oasis, wearing all black, and wearing sunglasses inside - of course people would find that somewhat disquieting. But he was there to do a job.

And he sure had tried to do it. Every night, he'd tried to keep someone safe, willing to put his own life on the line if he had to, and none of his targets had suffered as a result! He didn't know if any of them had been the target. No one did. The activities of the night were shrouded in mystery, much like the inside of a casino had a haze of cigarette smoke and bad decisions.

Some of them have really tasty milkshakes, but I digress.

His own decisions were called into question as the number of people dwindled. He had made choices, but were they the right choices? His frustration simmered. He was only one man, after all; there was only so much he could do! And he was further hampered by the fact that someone had stabbed him last night, incapacitating him for the night, and didn't even have the guts to fess up. He gingerly pressed his hand to the bandage over the wound in his side. If only he knew...

"How convenient that you only guarded people who didn't die. How convenient that you didn't think a child like Vincent needed to be protected, even though we've seen time and time again that Kirby-loving kids are among the first to die. How convenient."

It sure was convenient to throw him on a train and send him away. Hopefully they'd celebrate over the soup at the luau tomorrow.

The wind carried in a sound, imaginary or real, they couldn't be sure. To the deeply worried among them, it sounded like
"...everything..."

Okay
Unless there are fewer wolves than originally thought and exactly miranda is the last wolf, someone is hiding in plain sight

Dubz VCA:

D1: Votes for me early. Then switches to Mighty to make it Mighty, Vis, and Miranda 2; Zenge, Santy, Alley 1. Then switched to Vis to make it Vis 3, Mighty 3, Lucy 2, and Miranda, Zenge, Stoat, Santy 1. Then switched back to Mighty to make a 3 way tie with Vis, Mighty, and Lucy at 4. Then switched back to Vis and sat there to make another tie at Vis 5, Mighty 5, with Lucy dropping to 2.

D2: Voted Santy and sat there the rest of the day when vote count was Santy 3, PSV 1.
D3: Ended the day as the lead vote on Nate.

Looking at this as Dubz voting, she gets general credit for voting for both wolves on D1. It is interesting to me that she switched between each of them twice and of her 5 total votes 3 of them made ties, which were the last 3. Paranoid me worries that she was making early ties to prevent a wolf wagon from getting too far ahead and moving to make the 3-way tie to try and help prevent the Lucy counterwagon from dying as Santy had moved off Lucy 20 minutes before that. By doing that, she wasn't bussing but it would look like she was bussing in VCA. In this scenario, I could see her being in a pack with Miranda or Lawpy as her POE for a long time after that was Barks/Alley/PSV. I can also see her saying there's no way she'd be able to do this right now as she's been joking about how she hasn't been thinking straight pretty much all game.

I think it's fairly unlikely that this is what happened, but for some reason I always have this inherent paranoia about Dubz, probably because I have no idea how to read her other than other people.

Analysis: Some weird D1 shenanigans that are probably village Dubz but also some tinfoil because why not. Most likely village lean.

To explain my Stagg vote a bit further, other than just giving up and deciding maybe Lawpy was right, and also being horrified while reading Stagg's pushes on his packmates in Sea Monsters...

This type of gamestate where the wolf pack starts out with major hits and then there are multiple misyeets in a row is something I have only really seen in games where there was strong enough bussing to distance the remainder of the pack from the wolf (or wolves) that were going down. That just feels like the kind of game we're in right now.

So...I'm done looking at people who were hedgey on mighty and Vis day 1 or were voting for lucy or whatever. Nah. That's the perspective we've been working from and it has only gotten us dead villagers. This feels like a game where the wolves saw the blood in the water and went deep. Time to shake it up.

Jay and SAR would fit the bill too, much as it pains me to say. Probably need to reaffirm their status in the blocc. I don't want to turn things too hard just yet because we do have a day of space still (hopefully) and I'm not quite ready for full dismantling.

But the POE is clearly wrong.

Other things kind of work into this too - the fact that I'm still alive despite being clear. The difficulty in finding compatibilities in the existing POE. It just feels wrong, and a game shouldn't feel this hard after two wolves dying within the first real cycle.

I'm rambling but hopefully that makes sense.

:thinkies: what does this mean lol
Meaning that at first glance, it looks like you would have to be bussing to vote the way you did, but looking harder you actually could have been trying to save packmates by keeping the Lucy wagon valid by redistributing votes. Again, I don't think it's likely, but you could make the argument of "look, I voted for two wolves D1, wolf Dubz would never do that" when in reality creating the ties on wolves may have been to keep a wolf wagon from becoming runaway on D1.

Again, I don't think this is likely, mostly because "why not just vote for Lucy".

Yes, and also because the way I voted actually kept both wolf wagons active, which would be dumb lol especially mighty since it took a while for that one to gain any traction and I was the second vote on there originally.
