If AM was recruited n1 i suppose that does actually rule out barks as a likely candidate given her later insistence that she stay in the POE

It just feels a bit perilous to assume 😱
Her being on Barks' case rules out Barks as a Cultist, but not as a wolf

Though we're Cultist hunting as a priority right now, right?

I am curious why stoat is so convinced True is Cult
Oh, I forgot to unyeet him. We've been talking in PMs and I've gradually decided to deprioritize him. It's probably trust backlash from arguing with Bob.

Seems perilous to avoid using your night action just to claim you were robbed when you aren't really under that much pressure, but given the hoops samac and zenge jumped through last game to gain village cred by using their actions on themselves... Anything's possible.

Sadface

Because I've been putting on a pressure unit of one (1) smol vote

It was a joke but yeah

Do cultists typically retain the powers they had when they were villagers? That could explain the extra kill, if a vigilante was converted.

I was gonna ask how stealing from myself would work in this scenario and didn’t think about how it could all be a lie lol

It’s weird though….. stealing seems like it would be a wolf action but why target me then? To make it seem like it’s a village action since people were questioning me?

This post feels weird

Maybe I need to lick it to double check. Use all my senses.
Feels weird because it skips the obvious "to make it seem like I'm a villager", instead going with "to make it seem like the action is village affiliated." Not a lot of defense from Barks as a whole.

Or rather, it feels like "think about this action, it's a wolf action, why would it be used on me if I'm affiliated with the cult or with wolves"

Unyeet Barkley

Can you help us find cultists please? Edit: yay thank you!

I guess I’m not understanding why you guys think Barks is not part of the cult. Like, why would she definitively be wolf if she’s scummy?

But I’m also still at work and it’s very loud so my brain doesn’t work. Talk to me like I’m a child.

Not much. AM was pinging me really hard yesterday and I ended up wondering if she's a seer because it's AM and I knew she couldn't be a wolf but I didn't know about the cult.

It's not that my radar has changed. But, with new information, I want to reset and revise my thinking. On-board collaboration seems like it'd be easier if Barkley doesn't feel defensive or like there's hostility from me. I know I couldn't have worked well with Bob because he was convinced I'm a wolf convert and True is an original wolf; it was a roadblock to alternative discussions.

The argument I've seen and agree with is that would mean AM was bussing in a way by continuing to focus on Barks as a key player in her POE post-conversion. I don't know the timing of AM's comments on Barks to see if there's any kind of shift in tone. Of course we don't know when her conversion happened but to see if there's a general difference in her thoughts.

What does this mean?

And I just feel like I haven't heard a lot from Barkley, so I would like to not jump on her while she's here

I've been trying to make a colored list of everyone and it's really making me weep

Truenamer - it's me

Stoat - I have a "put a ring on it" sized reading card and I don't think she was converted but I don't have mechanical confirmation

And then there are two lists; wolves and cultists, and it just gets really complicated.

For wolves, folks who reasonably could be are Barks, Dubz, PSV? We're only looking for one (I hope) so it's tricky.

For cultists, we're looking for anywhere from 1 Cult Leader who was only able to convert AM (best case) to a Cult Leader and 2 Cultists (worst case).

Literally anyone could be a cultist, I have no clue how to find them. Really begging the veterans to step up and help but unless we're in the best case scenario most of the vets are likely Cultists or the Wolf.

Oh, also, thanks again wolfpack for alerting an unsuspecting village to the greater threat lurking in our midst
I'm envisioning what would've likely happened had the wolves not killed AM. Presumably we would eventually wind up either yeeting a cultist and being like "...??" like we were when AM died or we would've yeeted the second (presumably final) wolf and continued endlessly hunting for a third until the game ended abruptly when the cultists met their wincon. Either way, not fun.

It's just surprising the sheer number of folks we went through before hitting a cultist. It gives me a glimmer of hope that their conversion is relatively slow; that they can only do it once every other day or one per wolf we find or something weird like that.

I don't think we have enough information to say this yet.
I know you're joking but I'm going to say this clearly, in stone:

If we misyeet me, village loses the game. And then I will be able to come back and quote this specific post to harvest it's "I told you so" energy until the universe dies.

Can we revisit the whole "Barks is wolfy" argument in light of knowing about the cult?
The crux of the Barks argument is based on her bussing kdswg day two. But with the knowledge that there were probably only two wolves in this game, that means Barks would've bused her only packmate. Her reasoning for voting kdswg was something like "pingy, don't like her cubs argument" or something. I just really don't see that being behavior from the only two wolves in the game. And since Barks is unlikely to be a cultist as well, I'm kind of willing to slide Barks into my village bloc.
