Night 3

Mod/editor note: things in this writeup are out of chronological order with the show because the game trigger for The Bad Place occurred prior to when we expected it to, and the writeups were somewhat pre-planned. There is no significance to the chronologic discordance.

The day before was exhilarating, and many of the members of The Good Place (now widely understood to be The Bad Place) were buzzing like busy little bees thinking about how to proceed. Some of them still didn't know what to make of Janet - she'd never been the same after rebooting, and she seemed like she couldn't help them anymore, though she had an admirable collection of cacti to give people when they asked for anything that ... wasn't a cactus. No one had tried asking her for a cactus, but they had reason to think they would receive a cactus.

Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason still couldn't quite believe that they were in The Bad Place. They had believed that they deserved to be in The Good Place, in some of their cases, and in others, they felt like this was the ethical quandary of getting a mistakenly higher score on a test and not telling the teacher so they got to keep the grade - and those two would definitely not tell, unlike Chidi, who would feel compelled to and be further pressed by the pain in his stomach if he didn't. But it did make sense. After all, not much good had happened here, for a supposed good place. They hoped their fortunes were changing.

And it seemed like they were! Flying lessons were tomorrow!! How cool!

Overnight, the sounds of thunder and flickers of lightning awoke some of the residents. They didn't hear the gentle pitter-patter of raindrops on rooftops, though. When they peeked out their windows, they saw trash falling from the sky and piling up on the ground. Eugh! What on earth?

well, they weren't on earth anymore, they were in the afterlife, but "what in the afterlife" isn't a well-accepted phrase, and they were still adjusting to the transition of being alive, but not alive.

Eleanor stared at the trash. She just knew that somehow, Chidi was going to make this into a boring lecture on ethics, and she was going to do her best, but he just droned on sometimes, and how could anyone stay focused?

The night was a strange one. Some found themselves surprised by things that happened, even their own actions. Some laughed. Others wrung their hands in frustration and screamed to the heavens, and their screams were almost powerful enough for the heavens to hear them, even from The Bad Place.

In the morning, there were papers scattered everywhere - but was it from the trash, or from something else? They seemed more concentrated outside a particular house, and the curious residents who investigated found a horrifying sight on the doorstep.

Hi all,
The game is ending at complete fault of my own. I made a game breaking mistake so utmost apologies to all of the players.

And even more humble apologies to my co-mods who were beyond stoked for this theme, this game, and all of the energy and creativity that went into this game. They are being incredibly kind despite me being such an idiot.

As much I love modding, I think this is a sign that I should take a permanent hiatus. I'll be around in the background (maybe) but I feel so unbelievably awful.

Wholly understood if you're upset that I've ended the game prematurely. Words cannot express how sorry I am.

We'd decided you were one of the humans and genny said you were probably Jason and then Spurs and I got distracted thinking you were Mindy

But then I remembered your ability like an hour ago and was thinking that didn't make sense for Mindy

Doesn't matter though, you figured us out a lot faster than we figured y'all out. We figured CG today (I assume that was correct) but otherwise still hadn't ruled out that many people.
 
So if humans and Bad Place demons were out to get to each other, what was the wincon for Good Place demons? Was it literally just survive till the end? Or did each of them have their own wincon?

I WANTED YOU TO THINK I WAS MINDY. I knew I was forked anyway so the longer I can make it the better it is.
I needed nooblet lie detector to stop tho. The burn had the chance to take away her ability lol

Yes CG was one we got yesterday. I was first to join a friend and then CG and someone else.

Wanna make a final guess on the OG Elenor and the other who joined?

I legit do think they would get points based on how many win cons they fulfilled. I think I figured the whole thing out and added Mindy.
