If you want to be considered for MSTP, check out the site: http://www.mstp.washington.edu/

There is a link to their primary MSTP application. I think you can still complete it even if you did not indicate MD/PhD through AMCAS, but you will probably have to write the 2 MD/PhD essays and submit those to Washington as well. I would suggest not to do it unless you are really serious about the program though...I think it's probably more competitive than MD-only admissions for out-of-staters there.

I am not sure about how the account is assigned. I just finished my regular MD secondary recently and have not received an email whether the application is complete or not complete. However, the status page states that I have submitted the secondary.

Thanks for the reply! It has me wondering though! Why would they go through the trouble of creating an account for me if they had not yet decided to invite me to complete the secondary?
 
For those of you guys who have been turned down for interviews by Pritzker, does your status page say anything for the Committee Decision? Thanks.

Thanks for sharing! That is interesting. So, it looks like one individual has the power to scrap your application, since a committee review and decision is apparently not required to reject an individual! That kinda sucks! I could be ignorant about how this whole process works though. Do other schools process applications in this fashion? Can LizzyM shed some light on this situation? :)

I heard that at Stanford the decision to grant an interview rests solely w/ a second year student. The dean can then turn someone down, but he won't go into the reject pile to pick someone out.

How long after you had submitted everything to Yale did you see changes in your status?

I submitted my secondary, certification form, and check on 8/01, my AMCAS was verified 8/09, and my letters were sent out on 8/07 by VirtualEvals. My status page still looks like this:

It takes a really long time. Wait two or three weeks and then resend the letters if you are nervous. Also, make sure to check if the check was ever cashed. It really does not make a huge diffrence when you go complete since Yale is non rolling. Just make sure it all gets there eventualy.

They fill that part in once they have them. Mine took a week or two. I just sent them my school's committee letter packet.

what about adding how they notify you and/or when they update...? maybe that would reduce compulsive link-checking...

Yea, Im getting antsy about Yale too! I submitted Letters on Aug. 1, and the Secondary and the Check on August 7, and still have nothing showing up on the website...
Something tells me that their system isn't efficient...

Yes. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

It simply tells me that I have not yet submitted the secondary application, autobiographical statement, statement of why UWSOM, criminal background check, and LORs. How 'bout you? ;)

Yup, it's the same way for me too. Weird!
 
How does one check their status ? I went to the link but it asks for a password, which I don't have and then it tells me to register. So I click on the register link and it asks for the password. Is there something I'm missing ? :confused:

So you can only check your status if you've received a secondary ? Some schools let you check without one, right ?

Out of curiousity, if anybody who has applied to UIC sees this, what does it say for you when you click on the status link. Mine just says application in progress. As far as I know I am complete, but I can't quite tell.

nope :oops: i think interviews come email and rejection comes snail mail....so i am going to keep checking my email but not my regular mail :)

Yes If you go back a few pages you'll see a post where I say I went complete at Albany. I sent the letters the day the application came out.

Same here, I get the feeling I will be seeing a rejection letter soon. Oh well.

On another note, bump for my UIC question. Anybody else apply there have anything that says complete or under review on the status page? Or does it just says application in progress.
 
Wouldn't it make more sense for it to say that final committee decision has been made also, if you were rejected... isn't it more likely you are getting an Invite? Because, there shouldn't be a delay between a final decision to NOT interview, and a final committe decision (rejection)...
 
For 2 months Pritzker thought I had 2 letters, they didn't acknowledge my committee letter :mad:
