***The Official Midwestern-Illinois Class of 2024 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

I wanted to jump on here after reading through this thread to give some advice to anyone who is still on the waitlist and debating whether or not to apply again this cycle.

If I was in your shoes, I would probably wait until the end of July to apply a second time. That way you won't be spending so much money on applications and then end up getting in last minute. Come July/August I would imagine the class being pretty full, in which case you should probably re-apply and focus on getting in next time. I personally took my DAT at the end of July, so my scores were not posted to my app until 3 weeks later. All in all my app was finalized some time in August. I got 4 interviews total, 1 pre-dec. I will be attending MWU this fall. My stats were very avergae, although my community service was substantial. Of course every applicant is different and it is impossible to predict your own success by comparing yourself to others, but I think it could really save you some money by waiting. Of course it is deemed as more preferable to apply early, but applying in July or August doesn't mean you won't get accepted into dental school. Just my two cents. Hopefully this advice could help at least 1 person out. Whoever ends up resonating with this, I am rooting for you! 🙂

Hello! Has anyone ever done a dual application to 2 programs for Midwestern or any other university? For example applying to the dental program but also transferring you're application to the optometry/pharmacy program within the same application cycle. If so can you please message me, thank you!!
