***The Official Midwestern-Illinois Class of 2024 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

My AADSAS application says none by Midswestern. However, I'm positive they received it because of the email they sent me after my secondary app for them. Does it say none on the AADSAS app for anyone else?
My AADSAS status says "None." Thats when I checked my status on their website and saw that they were waiting for a committee letter. I asked them about it and they haven't responded yet. You might want to check your status on their website too just to be sure.

Canadian applicant applying this application cycle, can any canadian fellow applicant tell me how our GPAs get converted to the American scale for Midwestern?

I didn't even get an email about it :/
Did you email/call them to ask about it yet?

I called them but they were not helpful. They connected me to another person and she did not pick up. So I have to call again.

Wow you were so much help, thank you. Do you mind sharing when your application was complete since midwestern does rolling admissions and you received one; I'm wondering where I stand because I completed mine in late July.

I am not entirely sure what is wrong. It seems someone else also had this problem as well.
So I emailed admissions and they told me one they couldn't accept one of my letters from my public health professor. They asked for a "pre-health advisor or basic science (bio, chem, physics) professor letter," so I sent them one from my chem professor and I just checked their portal and they received it successfully.
Hope this helps!

Based on midwestern Arizona thread , some were getting waitlisted for an interview . Has anyone who applied to midwestern IL received a waitlisted for an interview email yet ? Im still waiting for a decision 🙁

Hey! I received a waitlist for interview for AZ about a month ago but I got an interview last week for IL. Hang in there 🙂 I’m sure they’re still sending out interviews because the options they gave me were the 1st and 3rd week of October.

2 faculty and 1 student interview (not MMI)
A current student told me it’s closed interview as well (can anyone else confirm this?)

As in, two 1-on-1 interviews with faculty members, and then one 1-on-1 interview with a student?

See you there. Where was your first interview?

Did you feel like they interrogated you?

Interviewed last cycle and currently a D1 here! It is closed file, no questions relating to your app or anything like that. It’s basically ~10 questions that are pretty random, some are more scenario/ ethic based and some are just to get a feel for your personality. It was laid back and I didn’t feel interrogated at all, students and faculty are awesome and really nice. It was by far my favorite interview experience!

Thank you so much for the reply!

Not at all! Just like someone mentioned above, everyone was very laid back. The questions are all geared towards actually getting to know you as a person! I did not feel interrogated at all because the faculty that were interviewing me were very friendly. It genuinely felt more like a conversation to me.

Hi can anyone confirm the interview format for this cycle? I've read that previous years it has been MMI but people are now stating it is different. My interview is 9/24. Thanks 🙂

oh damn similar to me. 3.55 cGPA, 3.45 sGPA, 19 AA and 20 TS, but 19 PAT. How’d you score in each science? I have an interview there the 17th of October, excited for it 😀

Yay good luck!!! Its a long day, but very informational and interesting! I got 21 OC, 20 Bio, and 19 GC

I thought it went well! They seemed more straightforward than conversational with me, but otherwise it's just a long day with a lot of interesting information! Have fun and good luck!

Was the interview open or close file?

What does the schedule looks like? They say we have to be at 7:45 am. What do you do after? Thank you In advance

your going to be on tours until 12. Lunch and a small student panel til 1. Then interviews will happen from 1 to 4, but you can leave as soon as you finish your interview, so just depends what time slot you get.

what’s the interview format? And how many do you have?

I have 2 weeks until my interview and it will be my first one. Do you think that’s enough time for me to be ready? (I honestly haven’t started and don’t know where to start x)
Hey!!! Yes!! Its enough to prepare for. Just be professional and smile!!! Try to know what challenges have you faced. Your strength, know your application very well and all of your experiences! Be able to explain then and what you learn from it!!! In general its very conversational and you will be fine!! Good luck!!!
