So if I interviewed 11/28 also and haven't heard back, does that mean they don't want me?

Anybody hear from 12/5 Middletown interviews? Hoping my friend will get a decision before they put things on hold for the holidays!! Historically looks like Wednesdays are notification days?

Hey guys does anyone know if you can change your mind, I chose Harlem as my first choice. But would there be a chance I could chose Middletown instead?

does anyone have access to (or have them saved) the previous match lists for Touro Harlem? I keep getting an Error 404 when I try clicking on the link on the website and am unable to view their match results in recent years

does anyone know when all the matriculation paperwork is due after we paid the 1st deposit?? I know the date the second deposit is due but i'm wondering about all the other stuff

So I interviewed 11/21 and haven't heard back, should I still keep my hopes up?

Time Table, I interviewed 12/5 and they told us 2-4 weeks for a decision. If it has been 4 weeks from your interview date, you could call and politely inquire about your decision status/ask if a decision has been made. Make sure you mention you were told 2-4 weeks, unless they told you a different time frame then use that one

I literally spoke a little too soon haha. I just got in!!!!! 🙂

Hey ya'll! I submitted my secondary a little late. November 28th to be exact. To those who received interview invitations, how long did it take to hear back after submitting your secondary? Thank you 🙂

I submitted my secondary a couple of weeks ago and received an II today

Has anyone who interviewed 12/5 at Middletown receive a decision yet?

II today from Harlem, NY! Withdrawing invitation tho, since I've made up my mind to go to Touro in CA. Hope it goes to one of you guys. 🙂 Good luck!

II today. Completed the secondary on Friday so was very surprised.

Is it too late for me to submit my secondary at this point, or should I do it? Also, regarding the requirement for 2 science professor LOR's, one of my LOR's is from my lab director who is a science professor but has not actually taught me, will this satisfy the requirement?

I personally don't think so because I just submitted on Friday and heard a response yesterday for an interview late January. I have good stats though

Not sure about the letter requirements!

Anyone who interviewed already have some inteview day tips??

I applied to Middletown, and I assume that the Harlem one is probably similar if that's where you applied. It's pretty laid back, there's 2 interviewers, and they ask you a few questions, like 3-4 each or so. For me, it was more of a discussion, but it was also a little bit casual and not very formal due to us interviewing in one of their offices. As long as you don't get too nervous during casual conversation and a few questions asked, you'll be fine.

I just sent my AACOMAS application yesterday. Is there still a chance that I can get an interview and acceptance or is it too late?

Hello all!
I have never posted here before, but have been quietly lurking here for about a month now. I recently got an interview invite (my first and only school out of like, 20 applications sent) and was looking for some guidance and/or a confidence boost, if you don't mind!

So I completed my AACOMAS application around July-August, so it's been at least five months since applying (try and stay patient everyone else who has been waiting!), and have gotten over a dozen rejections. I'm actually in the process of applying to Master's programs now.

Anyway, my stats are: GPA - 3.03; MCAT - 28/503; ECs - ~2000 hours each for research and working as a nurse's assistant, ~100 hrs shadowing, ~100 hrs volunteering, etc etc.

I was invited for an interview at Touro NY (Harlem) as an out-of-stater and I was wondering what I should expect. My stats are very low, I know, but since I got an interview, what does this mean? Is the school essentially okay with my stats and now want to "vet" me, or could my stats ultimately be my downfall despite a good interview? I'm confident that I can do well on the interview, but I'm still quite nervous since I feel this could be my only interview of the cycle. Should I expect questions regarding my struggles in school or should I come right out and address them? I know I should "be myself", but the interviewee and I both know what my weaknesses are in my app.

Thanks so much!

Hey! I haven't interviewed here yet, but if you were offered an II, they feel that you're capable of succeeding in their institution. Don't doubt yourself! I did a masters after undergrad myself and it definitely helped boost my CV butttt, again, you're in the running. Your stats are on the mid/low end of most applicants but clearly something stood out to them. I think if you bring your originality to the interview, you'll shine through because all in all, that's what hooked them in the first place. What I would recommend is to head over to the tourocom website and read through their mission, academic events etc. Show them you're interested!

Best of luck to you!

also wanted to add this: don't bring up your shortcomings unless they're asked of you!

You sound like a similar applicant to myself. I also got a 503 on the MCAT, and my undergrad GPA was 3.4. However, I also have a masters degree, publications, and a ton of research experience including lots of clinical care.

I got accepted because Touro looks at applicants in the whole picture, and not just numbers. During my interview I explained why I love medicine and what life experiences led me to applying to this school. I emphasized why I love osteopathic medicine- I think this was very important. My interview went well. They gave me a shot, and I'm beyond appreciative. My numbers may not be the best, but that's not always the most important aspect of an applicant.

That being said- they asked about my shortcomings during my interview. I explained them the best that I could and steered the conversation back to my strengths. Sure I didn't do great on the MCATs, but look at my life experiences and research directly in medicine that has shaped me to be the student I am today.

Submit your app, think about answers you'll need to give during your interview, practice mock interviews with friends and coworkers, then knock the interview out of the park. You got an interview- they already are interested in you. Now go kill it.

Hi guys!
I have an interview at the Middletown campus on January 30th, but i was just wondering if anybody knows if this school accepts students so late into the cycle? Or has this school moved more into its wait list period?

I interviewed the 12th and I got waitlisted. The odd part was that I found about two/three weeks after when they said it'll take 4-6 weeks. Not sure if that means anything but I bet they still accept students.

aww okay! yeah, i just wanted to get kind of an idea on what to expect...thank you! And omg i've been in the same situation with other schools too, where I've been waiting super long for a response and they just end up waitlisting me :/

Hi guys, I interviewed at Harlem in early December and was recently waitlisted. I was wondering if many people have been accepted or know how the waitlist works/is ranked at this school? It seems like the majority of people accepted in this forum were accepted at Middletown. Thanks for any input!

Hey, do you mind sharing your experience interviewing at the Harlem campus? How do you think your interview went? Did they ask any curve ball questions?

Just received my secondary today.. hope it's not too late to send it in!

Hi sorry I'm new to this so I'm not sure if I am doing this reply thing correctly, but the interview was pretty similar to what people have said previously in this thread. 2 interviewers, pretty low key. I sort of blacked out after mine because I was so nervous going into it haha but it lasted 20-30 minutes, no curveball questions, pretty standard from what I can tell. It was pretty conversational and both interviewers were really nice although one was definitely a little harder than the other. As for the layout of the day, we got there and they provided breakfast during a small intro presentation, then we did the interviews, then we had lunch and some q/a sessions with the deans and some students, there was a tour, and then we got to see the sim lab which was awesome. I hope this helps!

Hi does anyone know if you can take a prerequisite in the summer before matriculating

Accepted to Middletown. Will be attending. Excited to meet you guys!

Any fb groups going?
