Absolutely loved the school! I thought the interview went well but I felt like I got a little grilled for not shadowing a DO. The clinician suggested I should shadow during my summer off. I'm not sure how to take that comment!

Yeah they grill you if you didn't take anatomy as well.

I haven't taken anatomy and they didn't grill me or even bring that up. I also read on here that multiple students got the "good cop bad cop" interview style. I felt that both of my interviewers were nice to me. They were definitely direct and to the point, but I felt they were very receptive while listening to my answers and I did not feel uncomfortable in any way. The only thing they asked me related to coursework was why I withdrew from an immunology course in college. I answered with the honest answer and they didn't make me feel like this was an issue in any way.

Secondary submitted: Early August
Interview offered: October 15th
Interviewed: mid-November
Accepted: Dec. 2

Yeah I felt like they were both very nice as well. I really liked those moments where I knew I said something good and the interviewers gave me a warm smile and started writing stuff down. They asked about a C I got in Organic 1 but he didn't really seem to care about it. It was the lack of DO shadowing that made me feel slightly uncomfortable. I think it's important to remember that there is a fairly lengthy review process that happens after the interview so it's hard to "feel" whether or not it went well enough or not.

Just got the final review email this morning!! Although, I already gave my deposit at LECOM-B, I would love to check out this school!

Recently received an II here. Really looking forward to checking this school out.

Hey all, received an II today that I will be declining- I hope that spot goes to someone waiting to hear from them!

For anyone interested:

Side note: anyone know what average utilities costs are for a month in Henderson? I've already started looking at apartments

1 bedroom I believe in winter is like $60. You really do not need to turn on the heat much. Summer time is the most energy use. It can be up to 100 a month if you feel like living in a cold apartment.

One word of advice is try coming to Vegas to check out apartment if you can. And do know that as you get closer to the school start date apartments around the school start filling up. Also when they get the Facebook page up, current DO students will join seeking roommates or to rent out rooms in houses they have bought.

Thanks for the advice!

So when would you recommend is a good time to have found a place by to avoid being closed out? Like March or April?

People were still able to get apartments here before school but some had to get a larger apartment (didn't want that or to have a roommate) or live a little further away. Off the top of my head there are at least 7 apartment complexes within a mile of Touro. One of the reasons why the apartments fill up before class starts is because OT, PT, PA, Nursing and the Masters students start orientation a month before DO students start. I would look into calling apartments you are interested in and see if they have an apartment available closer to the time you want to move in. I did this in late April and was able find a place. The apartment staff will have list of what apartments will be available during the time frame you are looking at because tenants often have to give 60 days notice that they will be moving out.

Just was trying to say don't wait till late June or July or you might not get what you want. And trust me being able to not have to waste 10-15 minutes each day driving to school is a blessing.

Okay great, thanks!

They had an early February date available (the 6th, I believe) and February 22nd.
I wanted to go earlier but I can't make the early date because of work.
The later date gives me the opportunity to really check the area out.

Hi all, for those who were accepted and paid their deposit: Have you guys received any further e-mails beyond a deposit acknowledgement e-mail?

Does anyone know where 3rd year clinical rotation sites are? Like what sites can students pick from?

Does anybody know where I can find information on cost of attendance? I can't seem to locate it on their website.

Not sure if there is a better place to post this or not but for those looking for a place to live I have a house about 7 minutes away from campus and am looking for two roommates, message me if you're interested in more information!

Any recent interview invites? In review since mid November (they said response within 2 months) and final stages email late December. Anxiously waiting.

Exact same boat as you.

I got the final review email right before christmas and II earlier this week.

How long has it generally been from final review to acceptance?

Any doozies they gave you during the interview? Or all just the typical/straightforward stuff? I was told it's gonna be 20min so I can't imagine it being that bad.

Final review email 12/26 but I haven't heard anything since then. How long did most people wait after their final review email for an II? Also, is the final review email something that every applicant gets or does it mean you have passed multiple screenings?

Final review email : 12/17
II: 12/30

I'm thinking we have passed multiple screenings. This is just speculation here, but I bet people get rejected in the middle of the process. Congrats on the final review email. I think it is positively correlated with an II. Good luck!

My FR email came within a week of yours. Hoping for an II!

Is there a FB group for accepted students? Looking forward to meet the class. 🙂

does anyone know if there has been movement from the interview waitlist yet?
Is there an actual interview wait list, or do you just mean those that are complete and waiting for an II?
