Hi everyone,

I was originally set on going to Tufts, but I was recently offered an acceptance from Drexel. Drexel is also giving me a $25,000 per year scholarship for all four years, which is pretty amazing. I am very lucky to have both of these options to choose from, but it definitely makes this decision a lot harder!

I really like everything about Tufts (even though they are not giving me any financial aid) - the students, the location, the curriculum, the research opportunities (this is pretty important), etc. I can't say I feel as strongly about Drexel, but $100k is hard to ignore.

Just wanted to hear some of your thoughts/opinions on the matter.

$100k is a huge difference, especially since Tufts is one of the most expensive schools alone. If you include the interest you'd pay as well as tax on that $100k, you are talking about a down payment (or at least a substantial amount) for a house down the line.

Agree with above. You're probably looking at a lower COA at Drexel in addition to the $25k/y anyway. Plus I don't think you're compromising much if anything from an education standpoint.

Drexel has many competitive matches every year, so the research must come from somewhere. Philly has plenty of opportunities from a research standpoint.

Thank you for all of your suggestions!

Can anyone who is currently attending or has recently attended Drexel comment on the quality of the curriculum? Also, what are your thoughts on the grading scheme at Drexel, and does it affect the learning atmosphere (competitive vs. collaborative)?

Much appreciated!
