Phoenix has a smaller class size, more diverse clinical sites, larger city, newer school but has been doing the 1 1/2 year preclinical curriculum longer. Someone at Tucson told me that it feels like the school just put all the same material/lectures/lecture notes from 2 years into the 18 month curriculum without cutting out anything. They showed me this giant binder of testable official lecture notes for the current block they were in. Ick.
Phoenix med doesn’t have a larger campus associated with it and only 80 per class so it’s definitely a different feel from other schools. Personally, Im very happy at Phoenix. It’s been a really great experience so far.
