Because they knew I wasn't a wolf and the mayor is literally the only person they would assume had a level of power greater than an ordinary villager. Why would a villager block the mayor outright, without knowing if their mayor gained a key ability first? That just doesn't make sense. Given the choice between a wolf blocking the mayor or a villager blocking the mayor for no reason on night one, I'd bet wolf, but I could be wrong.

Haven't made it through the whole thread yet, but it also could have been an attempt by a villager blocker to keep you from doing anything dastardly night 1 while (hopefully) someone investigated you. Just a thought.

Well it seems that there are a lot of lynch candidates so far. I am heading off to my 11hour work day but hopefully during my lunch I'll be able to check in...

I think this is a good thing, at least better than our first newb game where we all bandwagoned and lynched villagers and then didn't learn much of anything because nearly everyone voted for the same person.

I don't think we should go with our WW 101 technique of lynching nonactive players. If I remember right, that didn't ever get us a wolf. It stands out when wolves don't participate much at all, so they aren't any more likely than villagers to be gone a lot.

Although, this is a newb game without mentors, so there's a chance that the wolves are going to do non-wolfy things simply because they don't know wolf strategy.

Also, I am an extremely delicious food.

Hmm... Gella hasn't really defended herself much, even though she's in the lead. It's still several hours until lynch deadline, but a little odd maybe. Especially when some people voted for her based on actual suspicious feelings, and not just RNG.

Delicious doesn't mean you aren't bad for us 😉

Naturally, the most delicious foods (like me) are not all that healthy. But we're still the best!😉

Trying to defend yourself when you're innocent is actually awful.

I read this a couple of different ways, until my brain decided to work. I guess you're right. Knowing something for a fact and not being able to convince someone else sucks.

Well I'm still going to be at work after the deadline. I didn't think the lynching inactive people was to catch wolves, it was because we had no idea who to kill and we didn't want to kill the people who were actually playing. But now I see that you're better off at randomly picking a wolf than killing off a villager because the entire game is about numbers. So I guess we go for whoever is acting unusual (I guess excluding the people who are affected by a tripping horse or made of alcohol)?

I do agree that Gella is being a little quiet about being in the lead. If it were me I would be fighting back a little more I think. But maybe I'd just be too hasty? there are a few hours left.

food for thought - isn't being defensive a trait shared by the innocent and guilty? I read that Gella was lynched in the earlier game and turned out to be innocent. I don't think she put up much of a fight then...

Just so you know, my vote for SV88 is mostly based on feels and not solid info. I wish SV88 was around longer last game, so I could tell if this is their normal playing style. Like last game, I'm not very good at having strong theories by day 2, but later on I can get better feelings about people by watching their posting and voting longer.
