WW: Southern Vampires GAME THREAD

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
My guess is that is a very short list, and probably too early in the game for anyone to admit to being the source of that info.

Oh, I agree. But I hesitate to say that person x has been vouched for when that really means we've shared roles.

I don't think a cleared list is a good idea right now, but I'm pretty sure this vouched for list is, as devyn would put it, ****e

Lol maybe I should list the roles I've been given and if it's in fact your role and you didn't give it to me then we have a problem

That's actually not a crazy idea.

Except everyone knows who I'm "vouching" for so that wouldn't work....
 I thought you knew who like 10 people were. Nevermind, then!!!!!

you know my role!!!!

I am sure that some of these voched for people are ones were the players are linked and I know the mods gave linked players each other's identities at the beginning of the game. Having said that though, I don't think we should be stating who those people are in the thread. I do agree though that there is probably a wolf or two among those that have been vouched for.

Agreed on all accounts, with two exceptions. I think it's likely we have good/evil links, and I think it's more than just one or two wolves in the 'vouched' list. I think it's more like 2-4.

question. Why should there be tons of wolves? Batman had 4 wolves and no conversions and the wolves nearly won in a 28 player game. this assumption of 5-6 starting wolves and conversions seems crazy to me.

then again, I also made the batman game to purposely require people to actually be detectives and actively think and not be reliant on seers. Which took a few rounds for people to start doing. I often make the game mechanics protect the wolves more than sheer numbers or powers do. This game does seem to have people who are thinking actively (hopefully myself included!)

welcome to pre-vet

oh my welcome to pre-vet was when they made me a wolf in a game with 5 starting wolves. There were 9 wolves after 12 villagers in a few rounds. Which is exactly why I think starting with that many wolves is ridiculous. SOV will say it was all planned ahead of time, but i'm still convinced rules were massively changed last minute to prevent a wolf win without a single wolf being killed all game.

All of this is *general WW talk* and not necessarily related to this game. I sort of went off on a tangent rant because the night round is rather uneventful without PMs to bitch out people for not sending.

I don't disagree with anything you said, really. I'm just basing it off the ratio that most of the games here have been. I don't think that's an unreasonable starting point.

Whether the ratio itself makes sense or not ... I've no opinion. But I think it's been a pretty typical one.

I wonder how this no night pm business works. Are things going to get RNG'd?

It's just a different game mechanic. Different mods and all. I would think 4 wolves would be a little too few. But your game definitely didn't allow for us to KILL wolves  so I guess not.

Haha. Had to do something. People had come to expect chaotic neutral and ambiguous roles from my previous game (which is what let me keep only 3 wolves all game in skyrim, where wolves won). Kill mechanics seemed the next logical step. It was cruel, I fully admit.

Killing wolves is overrated

Just checking in before I hit the sack for the night. I also want to say that whoever here can investigate people, please investigate me as well. I have nothing to hide.

Note to self: WW games are not very conducive to studying anything (other than WW games).

Brain: Your concerns have been noted and will be discarded in the nearest waste receptacle. Thank you for your continued patronage.

Off to study some directional terms for anatomy (while in bed! Flashcard apps 😍 )

Abney, I need to talk to you. I realize you can't do it tonight. And if I get lynched tomorrow we won't have the chance. But if I don't, and you can swing it ... I'd like to PM you tomorrow night.

Shoot, I was really hoping results would be up before I left for work. 🙁 Hopefully, I'll be back before end of lynch(back around 2pm CST)

Really? It's 5:30 am here. And 3:30 in my normal time zone. Quit yer b'chin.

I'm not bitchin' 😳 Was just hoping results would magically be up before I had to leave for work. I didn't want to be thinking about it alllll day at work 😛 Yes, unfortunately it is before 6am right now. Definitely a nap is in order when I get back!

 too early, not enough sleep...dislike...

I'll try to check in during my (2 hour?!) lunch time today, but I can't make any promises. Checking in DURING class is pretty much impossible since our classes are team-taught and there are usually several professors sitting in the BACK of the auditorium. 🙁 Boo.

holy ****es ya'll make it hard to catch up on.
first off, I will put it correctly this time:

yay FOR LYNCHING wolfies!!!!!!!!!!

secondly: give me a few hours to process all of this.

third: thank you LIS and DVMD for reminding me of why I don't miss high school.

fourth: SEND IN YOUR PM's (teehee)- i'm in the mood. the mood for wolf hunting

Just wait - vet school is so much more high school than high school was. 🙂

except I'll be the weird scientist kid who has already been at the school for a year then only does two years of vet school, then takes a break for two (three) years, then joins a different class for the last two years.

so ya, I'll still manage to be one of the biggest nerds. just like vet school.

in other news, I'm going drinking with the first year students this afternoon after their first anatomy exam!

LIS and I aren't that bad... We just don't agree with each other when playing WW. Although, we did ok when we were able to PM each other in the History WW.

I haven't seen any high school behaviour in vet school yet. :xf: That no one in our class will be like that.

Also- I'm not a vet student yet, so why exactly am I staring at a diagram of dog muscles and really excited cause I just found out I might get some cadavers tomorrow.

That's not a bad way to do school.

Are there vet schools that allow you to just jump in and out like that, though? I mean, without some sort of life crisis that calls for it?
