I know Trilt said don't focus on roles, but what do we think the wolf roles might look like? Maybe patients with contagious diseases that spread throughout the clinic?

I'm going to hold off on a lynch vote for now since we have long day cycles. In the meantime, here's a pretty flower.

Too early for me to know who to trust, but this probably is not a good choice to go for lynching. LIS is trying to rustle some jimmies to get conversation going. Wolves are going to continually fly under the radar when villagers are inactive/quiet.

That would make sense! For the most part everyone is healthy except for wolves who have contagious diseases?
 
I have several theories:

1. Wolf pack is less related to illnesses and more so things like "owner who doesn't have money for treatment", "breeder who thinks you are an idiot", etc
2. They are illness related, but only certain villagers are impacted by a microbe-related ailment and we can figure out wolves based on that. However, this begins to lead to the possibility of tied roles.

Your first point made me giggle, I can totally see that scenario, "Cdo went to the owners with her treatment plan, but the the owner's breeder recommended an organic supplement instead so they left, so and so died"

Oh, I just chose LIS because I didn't know where to start and he wanted some posts, so I gave him one 😀

I'm really bad at reading people tho, so I'm sure I'm going to have lots of trouble as the game progresses.

It was actually a serious vote. I mean, it's a pretty pathetic vote, but it's D1 and we have to vote. A common wolf ploy is posting without content. So you moved from neutral to wolf.

And by taking the time to post and again comment without any real content, all you did is reinforce it.

Sure, it's weak. Really, really, atrociously weak. But it's a valid reason, so I'm rolling with it until I see someone do something else.

Other option is vote for one of the people who haven't bothered to check in, but I can't be critical of that. 🙂

Sure, that works. I mean, I dunno. From what (little) I know of Trilt, I can see it being a 4-6 wolf game (total, including convert), with my bet on at least one neutral/chaos, and at least one conversion.

Beyond that, dunno.
 
Also, didn't expect any confirmation on whether people had items. Just wondered what everyone's opinion is on them appearing in this game.
 
Alright just caught up. I was also thinking 4 original wolves + 1 convert. Also from what Trilt said about not focusing on roles, I am wondering if it's because we are not directly able to tell who is a wolf based solely on roles. I would be surprised if that were the case, but that was my initial thought.

I am going to hold off on voting after seeing some more posts from people today. I hate the first vote...

I think it's owners, or vets (mayor aside), or ... hm.

I have a lonnnng stretch of work days coming up, and a ridiculous summer schedule. So if you really, really want it .... just don't forget - I get all the same crazy, just at a less-fun time of day.

You can't lynch STL on D1. Hell. The savantness is too much fun to watch.

Well done.

My advice with reading people is trust your instinct. You'll still be wrong most of the time, but you don't have to be right terribly often to win.

I just don't see her doing it, announcing it, and being quite that .... noticeable .... as a wolf. I could see her sliding the vote out, but not with "to put someone in the lead."

Just my take. Like I've already admitted, everything D1 is super weak, but I still believe in going with 'weak' over 'random,' which I feel is just a dumb way to play.

But yeah, I can't really disagree with you. Just the way it leaned to me.

I'd rather have a reason to vote someone, even if it is just jumping on a post that I think is weird. I haven't seen anything that struck me as particularly weird yet. Just putting a vote out for no reason when we have until tomorrow evening feels stupid to me

there's usually no reason for D1 voting. put someone on the board, apply pressure. see how they react/respond and either stick to you vote or target someone new. by waiting until tomorrow before the deadline ends is wasting a lot of time to obtain information.

And it smacks of a wolf just trying to see which way the wind blows to make sure they have a defensible voting record. Villagers care a lot less about voting record than wolves.

I mean, I get it. A LOT of players - new and experienced - hate throwing votes with weak reasons. But it's D1.... there usually aren't any strong reasons. Just have to jump in the pool and start establishing your thinking for the game.

I wouldn't say no reason for D1 voting. It's usually super weak, but ....

Agreed. I'm not going to hold off until the last minute or anything, but I'd like to have SOMETHING more to go off of.

I've been in classes all day and only on here intermittently, and tonight I need to focus on studying for anatomy (I know, I know, real life doesn't matter in WW). Tomorrow I'll have time to stop and smell the roses, I plan on reading through to see who hasn't checked in yet or has just posted a lynch vote and nothing more, I suspect that early on we'll have some wolves hiding under the radar.
 
I think the premise of wolf roles being "human" (versus infected patient)-- the owner that can't pay for treatment, the neighbor that slips rat poison to your dog, etc-- is what I'm leaning towards at this moment. I've seen more patient death IRL from things like that than from infectious diseases.

lynch serher since they seem to be on the defensive.
