Ah well, I tried. Not that it matters, since real life doesn't clear anyone, but holy hell did I have an amazing end to my work day today.
Okay but why would you say that and not elaborate?

If bryndi is a wolf, Snowy jumps to the top of my list. Probably followed closely by capri and you, who were late to jump onto this vote and basically voted as "yeah me too" votes.

If not wolf, then I would like to look at allie, and also probably mixalot for defending so many of bryndi's actions as village.

We are also hitting the point in the game when I agree it is worth pressuring some of the people who I know are strong wolves. LIS, nohika, finn, and KC all fit that criteria.

If Bryndi is a wolf, I'm going back to look at my early reads. Because I was all over her at the beginning, then I died, then when I came back I felt like she was swerving village so I left her alone.

But it could maybe explain my N1 death if she was a wolf.

I'm not usually a fan of the "I was killed because the wolves were afraid of me" kind of thinking (from me or anyone else), but I suppose it's possible it might have played a role.

P.S. You fit the criteria too, dufus.

********
seven for seven with the lynches, keep it up
********

Oh whatever. You certainly don't seem to have nailed any wolves either (at least, convincingly enough to get votes on them, which is just as important as finding them).

Always eye-rolling when people get snarky after dying. Villagers lynch villagers all the time. Sometimes it takes a bunch of days to nail a wolf. It's just the way the game goes. And sometimes one side gets crushed. Is what it is.

Scroll up. I did explain.
Derp. You’re right. Thanks.
Holy sketchville.

So. One of the better wolf strategies is to work independently ... but not really.

And, we haven't seen a bus yet because no one has really needed to build that cred? Just how - exactly - do you know we haven't seen a bus yet????? Just because no wolf has been lynched doesn't mean that a wolf hasn't been bussed.

Unless, of course, you have some way to know for sure.

I'm gonna ride this one:

unlynch whomever
lynch nohika

1) If you really rezzed me, then you should know my affiliation. Sure, there have been mean-mod-tricks where they've had a villager rez a conversion, but that's .... stupid rare.
Just because I'm still salty, let us never forget one of those stupid rare occasions was brought about by one of the mods running this game

Though I hope my yelling would make her think twice about doing it again 😛

So I come back from work to see you lynched my manatee 🙁 I was asking that question because when I said allie was suspicious and thought she was making everything up about being protected from a kill, bryndy told me it was her using a vig item. Then this morning I got paranoid that bryndy was actually a wolf, so I wanted to see if anyone else had had that item to make sure it was real. When I told her I asked to verify it was an item, she gave me the full description and it sounded less wolfy (before she had just told me it was a melting pot then today she confirmed it was a double broiler which is actually a useful cooking item and not as wolfy sounding) Mixy was questioning me about it right before my break was over, so bryndy said she would just admit it was her who had the item on thread. Anyways, I'm not impressed with you all jumping on the NOOB for trying to vig kill someone she thought was suspicious. Will read through all the posts and make comments now.

yes but everyone wrote her off as village once she revealed she rezzed vmh. which was more than just yesterday ago

Maybe they figure she is just sketch in general, so she'll probably say something to get herself lynched sooner then later or she is way off on who the wolves are so she's not a voting threat to them or they have more important people to worry about or they want to/have converted her.. There are lots of reasons they might not have killed her. Stop tunnelling her for now and try to think of who else could be a wolf and why. We can come back to her later..

I still think her focus on Mel was really strange.

Hmmm... I could see it though I had it as something that made her seem more village. Does she usually take things personally in ww or brush off/ignore stuff. I figure either finn or ski are wolves and ski goes back and forth for me.

It appears that way, but I'm not convinced that the broiler isn't necessarily a kill attempt. Per the item description bryndi posted:

Melting under pressure and showing true colors...in a game about food where I don't see melting as a particularly good thing. I could see it as "showing true colors" as a role name or affiliation seer, or a kill.

This is interesting. And why would you lynch someone who tried to seer you if you didn't think it was a kill? But even more interesting is how your results really seem like two different items, but you keep trying to make them seem like the same thing..

did you give her the description or no? because from the description with the true colors part it does sound like seering but with the melting part and allie claiming to be protected from someone trying to kill her. so little bit concerned snowy didnt pick up on anything?

Oh she told me she tried to vig kill allie and it didn't work. She said it because she agreed with my on thread post where I said I thought allie was really suspicious, but it actually lowered slightly my suspicions on allie to know that she was attempted vig killed and so not lying.

I'm confused why you chose to PM her rather than clearing it up on the thread when it was clear several people were skeptical of my interaction with the apron.

Yeah, bryndy plays close to her chest (why she didn't clarify at first it was a vig item - she said in pm she wasn't going to tell you guys she knew what it did, but I was gone from my break before I could tell her that was probably a bad idea)

i'm also still confused why the seering went through on allies end (and got the soul message) but not on bryndis (assuming the boiler is the seering item... true colors, blah blah blah)

DIFFERENT ITEMS I am pretty sure.

Ok, just kind of in the middle of catching up...but that item sounds like a vigilante item.

Which in my mind begs the question of why this is the first time we're hearing about it from Bryndi

Noobs often keep things close to their chest especially if they involve killing - you seem a lot more surprised about this fact then you should.

@bryndiana.jones

Why would you pick someone to vig kill who wasn't even up for lynch, iirc?

This question also screams wolf to me. Noobs usually go for whoever they think is suspicious. Its usually after playing a few games that they realize it's better to go for someone higher on people's sketch list.

Was reading back, and just wanted to address this before I crash for the night ...

Figured this was coming at some point

But, lemme ask you this -- why would anyone have a real reason to trust anyone in a game that has so far appeared to just be vanilla + items?

Ok but this part is a little ridiculous.

1. That game was built in a way that was a bit unbalanced (sorry @Trilt but I think you yourself admitted it was an experimental structure?) Basically we had nothing stopping us from cleaning up. It wasn't a huge game, the wolf ratio was normal, but the village had no abilities at the outset and thus could not seer/track/otherwise investigate any of us. And frankly have maybe become a little too dependent on seering.

2. Actively trying for something like that again would be stupid. I might be cocky/conceited, but contrary to popular belief I'm not quite as bad as say, DocE or STL in that regard. Plus, see point 1. It's not like it was some magic wolfing technique -- it was luck + game design (+ ok, some hard work). Also, I was not the only wolf.

3. Pretty sure avoiding wolf lynches is the goal of all wolf teams across the world, not a novel strategy

4. I just came off a game where I coached 5 noob wolves...and was ****ing exhausted after it lol. Not like anyone needs to believe this, but fwiw I personally kinda feel like fellow wolfator Karabeans would have considered giving rng a little "boost" to cut me a break lol

In any case, there are still a lot of other people who are playing this game who are truly excellent wolves. I would advise against ignoring all of them 😛

I'm not saying I'm ignoring them. Nohika and Finn and to a lesser degree ski are still on my radar and getting up into need-to-be lynched territory. I will probably go for one of them or you tomorrow. I just know you love wolfing/coaching newb wolves however tiring, and no one has really even brought you up before now. Nohika is the other one who is on my list for the same reasons, but she has gotten some heat and isn't posting as much as I hear wolfy nohika likes to participate.. Since ski is the main part of the hydra playing and she has only been a wolf once(?) she is less my concern for this (still seems wolfy with her intense focus on cdo and lots of bandwagon votes - less likely because she rezzed LIS who at least died a villager). Also finn is getting up there and I kinda want to break mel's egg for him, but she doesn't come across that wolfy (though I might just be bad at reading her and if AM is suspicious of her could vote just because I feel AM is village).

Also, yes you can have reasons to trust people this game. On various levels, but if you add up who all trusts who and how much they trust them, then you can figure out if your suspicions are reasonable or just tunneling. Like I still think mixy is sketchy, but with people I trust more for one reason or another, I have backed off with the thought I am probably tunnelling them. We are nearing end game if there are 4-5 wolves so we should be trying to figure out who we trust while at the same time evaluating everyone again because we have caught 0 wolves so far so everyone who is alive we are probably all heading in the wrong directions with our original suspicions..

Ugh sorry for wall posts. I'm frustrated with this game. Feels like we are getting nowhere and the wolves are running circles around us (probably laughing). All my ranting might be the wine talking at this point though.

This is a “bandwagon” lynch. Note for future reference.

As your instructors approached the kitchen this morning we first knew something was wrong as we could hear this song from quite a distance away

Seems you all beat us to class today and wanted to make sure we didn't blame you for what we were about to see. The next thing we noticed was the distinct odor of smoke. Then we saw the charring all throughout the kitchen. Was someone taking lessons from the more accident prone instructors last night and started a fire. Maybe it was just your accident prone instructor leaving a dish cloth too close to the stove top and accidentally leaving the stove top on. Guess we'll never know. Luckily someone was around last night and reacted to the situation less like this

Anyways, I'm not impressed with you all jumping on the NOOB for trying to vig kill someone she thought was suspicious.

I'll be back later for actual posting but I just want to point out that this is not why she was lynched.

(why she didn't clarify at first it was a vig item - she said in pm she wasn't going to tell you guys she knew what it did, but I was gone from my break before I could tell her that was probably a bad idea)

This is. After she flipped, I thought maybe she was telling the truth and the implication that she knew it was a vig item was a mistake in phrasing. But you're now confirming for us that did know and was lying, which is what got her lynched. Sucks that she was a villager, but you know darn well that was lynchable behavior.

Was basically about to say exactly this.

People already knew she tried to shoot Allie. That lynch did not start taking off until it was clear she was deliberately lying about trying to kill another player.

I'm sorry that she was village, but I would make the same choice again given that behavior.

In any case, I think we should probably be looking at the people who jumped on towards the end of that lynch.

I will probably go for one of them or you tomorrow. I just know you love wolfing/coaching newb wolves however tiring, and no one has really even brought you up before now.
Ok so just so I am clear on this...you do not actually think I'm wolfy, you just think that I like to mentor noob wolves and therefore are thinking of lynching me based pretty much solely on that?

How does that have any bearing on what role I ended up RNGing?*

Who do you think the noob wolves are who are receiving this heavy coaching that you're envisioning?

*With the aforementioned mod WIFOM that if anything, I feel like Kara would consider re-rolling me at this point if I rolled wolf.

So there's another item floating around, the recipe book. I had it 2 nights ago. You could pick to do an easy, medium, or hard recipe. I picked medium and was told for the following night I could affiliation seer someone. I wasn't going to be around for the end of lynch close, so I put in a contingency to use it. If bryndi flipped village, I wanted to seer snowy. If she flipped wolf, I was going to seer glammyre. Unfortunately due to the fire in the kitchen last night and all the "commotion involved", it didn't work and I lost the item. So that's what the medium recipe did for me, not sure if it'll be available again or it would be the same though. I'm mad because I didn't have to use it last night, I could hold onto it until I wanted to use it. And now it's gone 😡

DIFFERENT ITEMS I am pretty sure.
THEN WHY DID BRINDY KEEP SAYING SHE THOUGHT IT WAS A SEERING ITEM. AND THEN CHANGED HER MIND AND SAID ITS A VIG ITEM. AND WHY HAS NO ONE COME OUT AND SAID THEY THINK ALLIE IS A BAD LYNCH.

Since ski is the main part of the hydra playing and she has only been a wolf once(?) for 45 minutes in a speed game
FTFY
she is less my concern for this (still seems wolfy with her intense focus on cdo and lots of bandwagon votes - less likely because she rezzed LIS who at least died a villager).
1. I always think cdo is sketchy. And she always thinks I am. I’ve said this like 5 times now.
2. I’m not jumping on bandwagons.

Give me a break.

2) You're the one that started with the whole "you owe us" stuff! I'm just playing along.

This totally reads like you're just setting me up......

Night cancel is like, my least favorite mechanic. Unless there is an EON double kill or something, it's not worth the frustration imo.

Particularly in a game when abilities are transient because they are from items.

Plus it is just...boring.

I'm curious if anyone else has had this item because it's the first one I've heard of that you could actually hold on to.

We don't? Idk. I say it's HIGHLY unlikely but throwing that thought out there. The broiler apron thing is fishy and what's most suspicious to me is how the apron protecting against "showing true colors" but not against seering seems off. "Showing true colors" seems like it would be a seer thing unless it was meant for a kill.
ETA grammar
I would like some clarification on this post, I think.

Ugh it's cold for AZ today. I've become such a wuss.

I /am/ curious as to why I've stayed alive so long when several people pegged me villager-ish early on, so there's a decent chance I've been kept around to throw suspicion on later down the road because I'm naturally sketchy. So I'm kind of curious about the people now throwing shade on me, especially because I'm a super wolf or sommat.

Well I had the fire extinguisher. I could have chose to cancel the lynch yesterday or cancel night. I figured cancelling night would be a better option since theres a chance of netting a wolf during the day but a 100% chance of losing a villager during night.
