WWildzoo Family Reunion - Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The other issue was that Pippy and I thought Genny was going to last minute waffle onto Pips. So if I switched last minute off of Pippy and she flipped non-wolf it was going to be even more no bueno for my cred.

What about pulling a @finnickthedog and switching just quickly before while seeing what genny is doing? That way if genny did flip to Pip Pip Hooray, you could remain there without going to jboozy.

Next SDN WW Redux Redux Redux, the Stagg role is a wolf who is required to lynch all of his packmates 🤣
I'm just glad I still can read cray. Pipsqueak had me fooled though.

😕 the avy confusion returns: which one of you is WZ and which one is Jimble/Skilary? 😵

Because he's a dirty busser.

I tried so hard not to bus anyone this game, but in the end I just had to do it...

giphy.gif

Also surprised people didn't pile onto Pippy with this post. This gave me evil MJ vibes from the Dogs game.

Me too. I was completely shocked, which is what finalized me staying on her vote. I was also going to use this as ammo against Genny for not switching if wolves somehow managed to keep the game going.

Why would bussing be reasonable? Why would he rely on a tie instead of piling onto jboozy and sealing the win? 😕

Did he think Pippy's chaos claim would cause people to pile onto Pippy?

Bussing wouldn't be reasonable at all, which is why I did it and then posted the fellow villager would have to be an idiot to do it. Turns the whole situation into a giant WIFOM of "Why would Stagg do this if he was village?"

I didn't flip to JBoo because I thought Genny was going to waffle to Pips. I did think people would pile onto Pippy, and I'm still pretty shocked no one did...

The answer, of course, is kill stagg d1

I'm not sure I'm following you...

Also so glad Stagg got converted before making the Glammy and MJ shots

That was part of master plan. The thing we didn't expect was for MJ to revert back to his original affiliation in write-ups. Mods kind of accidentally screwed us a bit there.

So Pips role allowed her to change someone's affiliation and it would last for 3 cycles and she couldn't re-change someone's affiliation until those 3 cycles had run out on them. We asked in PM in a long paragraph if we could change MJ again at the end of that and were told yes. Except mods only read the first sentence of the paragraph which just asked if the illusion would last after death. So we were under the impression the entire time that MJ would remain as a bad villager in write-ups. Then when we went to submit to re-change MJ to village, mods were like "you can't do that". There was a pretty heated meltdown debate in chat and we ended up having to change our strategy up a lot.

Also @ziggyandjazzy , that night when my kill result on Glamm came out late was also a mistake by mods and was supposed to come out with normal results.

"Had to". You were so close to the powerwolf card. All that work thrown away for a bus. Tsk. Tsk.

Wait, what? I was powerwolfing? I thought I was deep-wolfing that whole time!?! If I'd known that I wouldn't have bussed at all 🙁

Although that is the reason Pip used her last illusion to change my affiliation to Betrayor even though I requested it be changed to bus driver, lol.

Seriously? Lol

We were actually thinking about not submitting a lynch again last night for the Lulz, but I like victory too much.

If I had been better about reading, I still would not have given you a straight answer. Never really answered sporty when she asked what an illusion was. Told people with the mind meld they had to just try it. I wanted people to try things out without knowing exactly what it would do

If people read the glamm write-up, they would have noticed it said it was a continuation of dubz's write up and that it was night #whatever (for real). So I had already addressed it as much as I was going to

Wait, what? I was powerwolfing? I thought I was deep-wolfing that whole time!?! If I'd known that I wouldn't have bussed at all 🙁

First you were deep villaging until conversion, then you were wolfing up until the use of the vig shots which boosted it to powerwolfing.

I'm not sure I'm following you...

You could've waited till around 9:59 to see what genny would do before deciding to switch. genny for whatever reason didn't seem inclined to switch to Pippy so you could've slammed to jboozy!

I mean the RNG helped but was thinking of the Finny strategy from Colorado

Interesting because if MJ remained red, i wouldn't have been able to spot you as the evil guy.

What was with the no kill when I redirected Pip to Stagg?
Wow that is so dumb. So I was right lol. Yeah I should’ve switched to pip...
But I did have it figured out last night it was Stagg.
In case people didn’t know though, my ability makes it really difficult to actually redirect people in an efficient manner...

Also idk why I always make it until the end of the game but I think it’s bexause I just ****ing suck at this game lol

For future reference, yesterday was mylo not lylo. The differences are important in deciding your next move.

You're fine. This is only like your fourth game or something. It took me a year to finally play at a level I felt comfortable with. Just trust your gut if you can't make heads of tails or mechanics.

Did they allow you to redirect people onto themselves?

Idk how to tell the differences in the write up

My gut told me Jboo the whole time which was also wrong. It makes it prettt difficult when people barely post :/

I’m assuming so but I don’t see much of a utility in that as I could either end up killed and not be able to tell people or move someone to me who actually had important stuff to be doing.

I had to pick three people and chance would just chose one.

No, not onto you, onto themselves. It makes redirector really powerful because if you pick a wolf doing a kill (or in this game a villager doing a Lynch) then they kill themselves
E.g. redirect pippy onto pippy
@PippyPony I hope that gives you flash backs 😉

Idk how to tell the differences in the write up

When you can almost certainly know there are no double kills, it's announced in the write about "last chances" or something similar, and/or you have a safe ask-a-mod regarding wolf number, then that's where it starts.

For an example, yesterday it gave some ominous near parity message in the write-up but there were 6 players left. *ylo can be, at most, one less than village numbers (save for the rarer games where chaos counts towards village numbers). There's no clean way to do lylo at 6 unless three players were wolves. The game would be over at this point anyway. So that leaves mylo which would make the setup 4:2.

During mylo, you can no lynch or lynch a confirmed/claimed chaos to buy time. You cannot do this during lylo without losing.

Hopefully that makes sense.

That's fair. Low posting is difficult to solve with. The sole reason she was out of my poe near the end is because of capri seering her as fine. It's always important to share reasoning for pushes.

My role didn’t work that way. If it did it would’ve been easier

Seering wasn’t accurate

Seering wasn’t accurate

It only ended up being inaccurate for finn. The second (well up to three days) after the illusionist death, this would have no longer been a concern. I appreciate you putting reads above mechanics though because seers can get converted, die, get blocked or (like this game) have results tampered with. Seers are just support, not the main way of solving.

Right, it was inaccurate for her, so we basically couldn’t trust it for anyone

Sure. But also be sure to reevaluate at endgame because if your wolfreads are suddenly okay voting with you, something may be off. I will say this mylo went better than some of the ones I've been in the past where I was nearly begging people to vote.

Lol yeah the only person I trusted in the end was genny. I should’ve switched to pip but I didn’t want to **** things up switching last two min. And the RNG did screw us haha

There would have been something ironic about pulling a Pippy on Pippy but perhaps that's why nothing happened haha

Also, never trust a tie. It's Russian Roulette especially at endgame.

Turns redirector into like...a weakened vig who can't kill wrongly? A weird tracker? In any case it bores me to tears.

So I typically either don't allow redirecting someone onto themselves or don't allow kills to be redirected.

Eh, you still get to join my salt list 😛

First you were deep villaging until conversion, then you were wolfing up until the use of the vig shots which boosted it to powerwolfing.

Lol, I was basically ghosting before I was converted. If that's deep-villaging then I want my deep-village card from Lurking because I think I had 2 people vote for me at all that whole game. Fair on the powerwolfing thing, I'm still trying to figure out all of those. I'm just calling myself a wolf-meleon for now, aka

You could've waited till around 9:59 to see what genny would do before deciding to switch. genny for whatever reason didn't seem inclined to switch to Pippy so you could've slammed to jboozy!

That's what I thought you meant. I was too worried about getting ninja'd.

Interesting because if MJ remained red, i wouldn't have been able to spot you as the evil guy.

That was the initial plan!

Lol yeah the only person I trusted in the end was genny. I should’ve switched to pip but I didn’t want to **** things up switching last two min. And the RNG did screw us haha

Why? When I was shading Genny it was because I legit felt like she was being super sketchballz. If I weren't a villager I probably would have had her way up on my list and been voting for her when the Capri results came back that she couldn't be seered. Also, abilities aren't usually a great way to wolf-hunt, but ability thief is definitely one of the sketchier ones I've seen and I thought it was kind of funny that @genny was the ability thief after what happened with that in Lurking.

My role didn’t work that way. If it did it would’ve been easier

So how did your role work? From what I understood (aka what Genny told me) was that you could choose the actions of 3 players and redirect them onto 1 person. If that was the case idk why you didn't pick Pippy + 2 others (me and Cray if you trusted Genny) and re-direct them onto Pippy. If you couldn't re-direct pippy onto herself then I would have chosen me, Genny, and Cray and redirected us onto Pippy since everyone knew she was 3rd party. That's what I was talking about when I said "you can save the game". Glad I didn't explain that in thread now though!

She wasn't just a thief. The ability wouldn't work on her and then she would mimic it the next night. Little OP for a wolf, and that's saying something coming from me lol

She chose three possible targets and who they would end up being redirected to. RNG chose which of her targets actually ended up being redirected.

Next SDN WW Redux Redux Redux, the Stagg role is a wolf who is required to lynch all of his packmates 🤣

No, no. We already talked about this in chat. This will be the roles:

Just that you'd obviously make yourself powerful in your own game. Which I'm guessing is exactly what you did, lol.

I mean, I'd probably do the same thing. Except I'd make two Stagg (softish g's) roles. One would be totally OP and basically an immortal wolf and the other one would be Staggikarp, the worst role ever who can't vote, can't participate in mechanics, and has to start and end every post with *splash splash splash*

Oh, and also since I was dubz I had a lynch avoidance. So I wouldn't have been killed if I was lynched or re-directed onto anyway 😛
Someone didn't read the spreadsheet 😛

"You have the great honor of being the central pillar around which this entire game revolves - You are WildZoo. What can be said about Dubz that has not been said before? Better at taking out villagers than wolves no matter what your affiliation, you've finally got a chance to put those skills to good use. You are a 1 shot samurai. You may choose to use your shot during any lynch. If you take out a wolf, you will get a 2nd (and final) shot that must be used the following lynch. If you take out a villager, you will receive no further shots. As an homage to your certified unlynchable wolf status, you might be a little more difficult to lynch than most wolves in this game."

The only villager that couldn't kill you was weim, because she was the ninja

Oh wow, well then I misread that and it's a pretty unfortunate redirector role, lol.
