Hopefully some more acceptances are being sent out--- I remember the students from my interview saying about 1/3 of the class comes off the waitlist... Anyone know if/how they rank the CCL and if they tell you where you are (top third, bottom third etc) ?

i called and they said it can go until when school starts. they also said there is variation every year about how much of the CCL gets in, so they didn't give me any number.

Just withdrew. It was tough decision, but ultimately I couldnt pass on another acceptance.

GOOD LUCK everyone.

PS: enjoy that awesome new facility

Just wanted to let you know I withdrew because of another acceptance. Good luck!

So for most schools, after you are accepted you have two weeks to send in your deposit. Is this true for Temple? Looking back in this forum, it seems that the acceptances were sent on May 21st. The two week period was up yesterday. As one can see from previous posts, people have been declining Temple's offers. Does anyone else think that if any spots remain open, Temple's Adcom will be sending out a few more acceptances today or next week?

I am currently on the waitlist at Temple, and yesterday I received a phone call asking if I was still interested in attending even though I currently hold another acceptance. I told them that yes I was still interested, and they told me that early next week I should receive an email from them with some good news. So I would assume that early next week a new batch of acceptance are going out. And I was told that I would have 7 days to make a decision once the emails go out.

With that said, does anyone know that if after the first year, that OOS can apply for In-state residency and then pay the lower IS tuition?

You need to prove you will live there permanently, I believe. Not sure how, usual method is state driver's license but every med student gets a state license by 3rd year, OOS or IS.

That said, my status changed yesterday or today from correspondence mailed to interview complete. Don't want to get my hopes up but seems like a good sign judging by the previous wave. *fingers crossed*

So my status switched from "Correspondence mailed" to "Interview Complete" yesterday.... any ideas?!

moving back in time?!

haha. hope it's good news.

Last time, everyone who got the status change back to interview complete, got it changed again to accepted a few days later.

But I don't want to get my hopes up incase its just some sort of website mistake or other administration thing, lol. A few months ago, apparently there were people who hadn't been invited to interviews that got the website changed to welcoming them for being accepted to Temple's class of 2012.

I did not get a change from corresp. mailed to interview complete. I was put on the waitlist on May 5. Hope it's good news for you guys!

My status changed to interview complete on Friday as well. I called the office on Friday to ask them if the waitlist was moving and it definitely is. She asked for my ID number and told me good news! She said that Monday will be official good news for some people. Good luck!:xf:

So here I am hating life and work.... and I get an email...

I just pooed my pants! Imma be a Dr.!!!!

However.... is the log in page messed up for anyone? I cant log in. Its broke.

I hope this isnt a sick joke like UCSD for its undergraduates.

AHHH! I just got the email too!! The log in page didn't work for me either... hopefully it's because they're updating it.

Good luck to everyone waiting:luck:

Yep, acceptance e-mail. Website broken.

Congratulations to everybody!!

Is the website broken for everyone? Or just accepted people so far? Mine's broken. I wonder...probably not a sign of acceptance if no email?

Dear Admissions,

FIX IT.

That is all.
-----------------------

To everyone else, I interviewed with 4 schools and waitlisted on all of them. I am also a re applicant from 2007. The prospect of not getting in this year really burnt me bad. These last couple of weeks have been a real low point.

But to those that are still on the waitlist, keep your hopes up. Getting accepted usually happens when you are least expecting it. Its kinda analogous to the old saying "A watched pot never boils". Hang in there I am sure this is only the paliminary waves of acceptances.

Anyone else obsessively checking their status? Still "Correspondence Mailed" for me... I'm wondering if the list continues to move throughout the summer or if there are just one or two short bursts around May/early June...

From my experience of being on waitlists, waitlist movement comes in bursts and is usually not a steady stream of acceptances.

What I am guessing is happening is once they have an idea of who is staying, usually May 15th they have a good idea, they review enough applicant files to fill all the spaces they need. Once they have replacement applicants they send a wave of acceptances. After they get their responses back, they get the number who accepted and recalculate the number that dropped out, re-review, and send out another wave. Rinse and repeat.

This is just healthy speculation. I have been on waitlists last year and this year so I have some idea of what to expect. Generally speaking, the number of seats avaliable in a class goes down significantly as time passes. I would say there has been significant shuffling by early to mid July and by the end of July the chances of getting in are fairly low. Basically if the acceptance hasnt come by the end of July, you are basically hoping someone either dropped out, died, or got there dream school from a waitlist.

But this is from my experience. For all I know they draw names out of a hat and do a tribal dance to select applicants. 🙂 GL!

hey everyone. So I just went back for a quick visit of the school and was able to go in and walk around the new building. It is definitely going to be a very nice facility. Tons of light, plenty of study space, and really nice classrooms. It still isn't done though, so they better pick up the pace for the next few weeks to finish everything. It looks like the library is almost done, they just have to finish putting all the books on the shelves. As for the main lecture halls, they seems to be almost done with all of that, and the Anatomy lab looks pretty complete as well. It looks like the classrooms will be on the first 3 floors, with Anatomy lab on the 4th, and the rest of the floors are lab and office space. If anyone wants to see some pics, feel free to PM me.

I've pretty much been a lurker on here until now, but I just got my acceptance this afternoon (06/15) and thought people would like to know that they seem to be still coming!

do you guys think it is over now?

I'm going to withdraw my temple waitlist position tomorrow. Hope it helps someone.

Good luck :luck:
