2008 Statistics:
Applicant Pool = 6,546
Interviews = 866
Accepts = 222

So about 1 in 4 interviewees get accepted.

I want to know right now! March is so far away...

I think this is the first school that I've let myself fall in love with. 😍

It's a shame that only 25% get accepted post-interview! Somehow, I feel like I'll be in the other 75%! It would be a dream come true to get accepted though! 🙄 The end of March is indeed too far away ...

At my interview they said they weren't completely sure on the acceptance date. That was about 2 weeks ago. So it might be 3/20 but I wouldn't freak out if you don't hear on that exact day.

A long time ago they used to give an exact date when admissions decisions would be given out. They always missed that date. A bazillion phone calls later and now they give out an approximate date. Every year an exact date or week is rumored, different people hear different things, and nobody really knows when it will happen. Some years it is earlier than expected, others later. It'll happen sometime in March, more than likely.

Haha, last year we started betting drinks as to what date and time the announcement would actually come out. Bets were to be settled at Second Look weekend 😉

It's a long, tortuous wait (especially if you get waitlisted like I did) but Penn is absolutely worth it.

funky, it's not over yet! look some people got undeferred whatever that means. haha, don't lose hope til you get the rejection letter.

I never received a "deferred status" on my page. I was complete August 15th and received an interview invite last week. However, I withdrew since I am interviewed-out.

My status, like so many others on here, has reverted from the holding pattern back to the "continues to be reviewed" pile. Unfortunately, I don't think there's much significance to it, however I would love to be wrong.

Does anybody know if they do this for update letters and LOIs too? It's nice to know that stuff is actually on file.

Also, do they evaluate all interviewed applicants after the interview season is over prior to the decisions being made in late March, or do they evaluate people as they go along?

Mine are acknowledged, but it says they were received about 2.5 weeks later than I sent them. Did you send them very recently? Maybe they haven't been logged into the system yet.

I sent them in October. I see a call to the admissions office in my near future.
