Seeing as I just got rejected from here today, I can answer that. I checked my status right before checking the mail. All the status page said was "Complete." The letter in the thin white envelope said otherwise.

I find your rejection surprising too... You seem to have great stats. My only guess would be that maybe the 8 in the VR killed you? But a sweet pair of 14 for the other two sections should at least get an interview.

Yeah...I am really conscious about my VR score. However, I did study hard for VR. I did my best though, I can't ask for more. I'll send adcom an email to see what aspect of my application needs improving tomorrow. Well, this is one less thread I have to check every day :-/ good luck everyone.

i have about a 30 and was complete in 8/25ish...haven't heard a peak. IS. grr.

for those rejected, did your online status change? I didn't get anything in the mail, but maybe it's jus cus my school's not in NY so it's gonna take an extra day or so.

I'm so bummed about this rejection. My online status still says Application Complete but I've now got the rejection letter dated Oct. 23.

I was complete on Aug. 18; 3.74 bcpm/overall, 34 mcat (11, 11, 12), maybe there was just something about me they hated??

5 rejections, 1 interview so far. Is it too late to add more schools?

it's definitly not too late to apply to more schools, but I do think it's more difficult to obtain an interview for schools with rolling admission. Peaking at your profile, you still have lots of schools that you haven't heard back from. Give them a chance to review your file! don't give up. you have much better MCAT stat than I, you'll get in!

perhaps it was my numbers... or perhaps it was bc i explicitly stated that I do not enjoy Research... Rochester is a research-heavy school....

have 3 interviews though... and hopefully more will come.

Yay, interview invite, and I scheduled it for 1/15. That's going to be a looong trip. And, what the deuce? 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.? This will be my longest interview day by far.

After you get an invite, you must list four of your most importants ECs. Rochester conducts a blind interview, and this is all they know about you besides name, undergrad, degree. You must also write two short essays, "What activities would you like to develop while at Rochester?" and "What specialty, field, etc. do you tentatively plan to enter?".

You may not actually be there that long. I was there until 4:30, but I had the last afternoon interview of the day and it went a full hour. Everyone else was done before me - some by quite a bit.

It's a long day, but it's not terrible. There's a nice amount of down time to walk around the medical center, sit in on classes, read the info in the admissions office, etc. Plus, the admissions office has coffee available all day, which was a big help for me! 🙂

oh ok thanks! I knew that we went to the Nov committee, but thought it would be the six week mark. Ok, now I'm getting nervous. I had a mini-freak out because the webpage wasn't working.

Argh, I am getting so impatient. I interviewed 10/3 and called today to check on my status and they said the computers were down. With all the acceptances that went out today, I am thinking it does not look good for me.

I haven't had my interview yet but in the event that I am accepted I need to make sure I fulfill any classes next semester prior to graduation. I looked on the website but wasn't successful on finding specifics and will call tomorrow unless someone can provide any help.

I called them today. I said that I'd been complete for awhile and hadn't heard anything, and they said give it another month or so... I had also sent an update letter.
