are you sure it's not because your password is saved? the BU website wants you to type in your password.
 
Hey.... I was complete as of 7/13 but haven't gotten any emails. My status page just says complete. Does your status page update if you were rejected?

Yes. It will indicate the date your rejection letter was sent.

Well I think you would get them a little earlier/more frequently, simply due to sheer volume. With 45+ apps, and getting 3 rejections, thats about on par with someone sending 15-20 apps, and getting 1 rejection lol.

Same with me. Don't worry. My friend last year got rejected from U of Boston as well w/out even being offered an interview. Then she got accepted to UC Irvine, UC Davis, Rosalind Franklin, University of Chicago, and Stanford. She also had interview at UCSF.
 
AH! It won't accept my password anymore and won't let me reset it. God this website makes me neurotic.
 
wow I can't believe people are already getting rejection letters and stuff I am still working on my secondary.


Did anyone not write anything for the special educational history section. Frankly I have nothing my educational history is as boring and traditional as it can be. How bad does it look leaving that blank?

I would put something if u can, but if w/e you write would just be pure BS and obvious, then just forget it leave it blank...but theres serious nothing special? I mean i know many people are white boys from the suburbs but still....gotta be something?

You can leave it blank. There are plenty of applicants who do. It won't kill you. But sure, as Elijah said, if you can include something meaningful, certainly do.
 
Yikes I didn't check this thread since I was complete here, figuring it would be awhile before anything happened, only to find people are already getting rejected.

I haven't heard anything yet, which I guess is good.
 
did everyone here get an email right when they were rejected? i dont wanna keep checking my status :annoyed:
 
Yep. I checked my status: application complete. I went to go check my email: Rejection. Go back to status page: Rejection

It's a bit pointless to check status pages for interviews or rejections--at least that's what I feel after reading these threads. They will always come through email first or at the same time as status updates--whether you like it or not.

Yes, they happen at the same time. This applies for both rejection and interview. In fact, the email will contain the same information as the status page online, if I'm not mistaken. It usually says "there has been a status change, log in to check it out." And then it just starts telling you the same notice you would find if you logged in.

Supp app finalized - 7/3
Supp app complete - 7/13
Rejection - 7/27

I'm not too grieved by it though... good luck to people waiting / getting interviews 😳

Don't feel bad about BU rejections. I got rejected too. My mcat is 36+ and scienceGPA/overallGPA is 3.8+ and I got an autoinvite from Umich and interviews at Mayo and Upitt. BU "safety rejects" a lot of people.

Although I have 35+ and 3.8+, I've never thought of BU as a safety... I hope they dun reject me because they think I treat it as a safety! It's only 2 cells below UCLA on my school selector spreadsheet..

Dang has anyone else survived? Sorry to hear that guys, I feel like mine should be coming any second. When were you guys complete?
