Nice. When will you be at Mac? I'm March 28th. But I don't really know if I should go, cause Columbia is my top choice. I guess to go visit some friends in Hamilton? haha
 
Last year it looks like pretty much everyone got their acceptances within 48 hours of the first postings. This can't really be it, right?

I'm March 28 too! I've got U of T on the 25th of March. I'll c u there man. I'm looking forward to the MMI. PM me ur info and so we can meet up/find each other that day.
 
People only started to post acceptances to the MD program (regular not Bassett) yesterday. It's barely been 24 hours. I'm sure there will be a lot more acceptances over the course of today and tomorrow.

I got it in London. Btw for the record.... I admit Western is probably easier than U of T. However, their science undergrad program is still pretty rigourous. But they're more fair with marks than U of T imo.

Haven't heard yet, so I might just be building up my confidence by saying this, but I just want to point out that a waitlist at Columbia is not a bad thing. 2/3 of the student tour guides I met on my interview day were accepted off the waitlist, and they said that Columbia tends to over-waitlist people to make sure that those who attend really want to be there (which is silly, because who wouldn't).

Ya. I know, I personally never believe rumours about one school being easier than another. Who really knows. Anyway, undergrad is finished!

Yea i totally agree, just more uncertainty but def. better than a straight out rejection. here is still hoping 🙂

I'm really scared to go home and find an empty mailbox.:scared:

But, just to let everyone know....my interviewer told me that of the ~1100 people interview...300 will be rejected post-interview, and the rest either accepted or waitlisted.
 
in central nj, at least not for me. Is this for sure rejection/waitlist?

Congrats, guys!!! :woot: Hope you all go out and do some epic celebrating tonight.

And good luck to everyone still waiting.. don't count yourself out yet, especially if you're not on the east coast. I live in the midwest and was told my regular Columbia acceptance packet would be mailed out with everyone else's in early March (Bassett program acceptance) and it hasn't made its way here yet.

Haven't heard anything yet, but I'm wondering when the revisit weekend is. Want to plan my schedule at work accordingly, just in case, and need to know by this weekend for the rest of mar/apr.

I just got in!!!!!

I'm in Utah.

For sure going there. I'm shaking and my mom is balling. This completely makes up for the girl that bailed on our date tonight cuz she said her friend was coming in town and then I found out she's going to a cabin with a friend of mine. I DON'T EVEN CARE!!! I'M GOING TO COLUMBIA!!!!!

Me neither mdeast... I'm in MA. Maybe we'll be luckier tomorrow? But until then, drowning it in alcohol and obscenely loud music. Feel free to join.
 
Accepted in PA! The letter is dated March 3. The past few hours have been torture, checking SDN constantly and waiting until I could reach my mailbox. I'm so, so thankful. Good luck to everyone.

Also accepted in PA! I kept going out and opening my mailbox even though I knew the mail guy hadn't come yet. Is that accurate btw that the revisit is April 16th?

Blanked in Ithaca, NY... Looking like maybe only 9/10 on post-interview decisions 😳. Columbia would have been a contender, but I'd live if disappointment strikes again tomorrow. Congrats again to everyone. Looks like a lot of you had C as your number 1!

I think it's from the Columbia P&S 2014 facebook group (made by the current students, so should be legit info).
