my friend submitted this day before the deadline last year and got an interview 3.7/32. didnt get in tho

Some schools just sent out their secondaries this week. Not late
 
i submitted my secondary on Aug 14, I have all "yes" except for the LORs (AMCAS recieved them all), should I wait a few more days before giving them a call?

EDIT: I guess 5 minutes after posting this, I have "yes" for my LORs as well.

I just got an interview! Anyone else get 10/14? I am starting to feel a little better after a couple of interview invites.
 
Congrats to those who have received interviews! If you have received an interview invite, did you by any chance contact Jefferson (by phone or email) about your application after it was complete? The reason that I ask is b/c I have been complete for a while (for almost a month) and I have not heard anything...
 
I am 10/14!

And yes, I did actually call to check to make sure I was complete right after submitting. The lady was really friendly, said she would keep an eye out for my app. I would say there is no harm in calling if you feel like you want to!

Congrats! I think I might call then just to check, and like you said, there is no harm.
 
i love this school! i just want to send a letter of intent even before my interview or something LOL
 
I submitted my application about 2 weeks ago and their status website said "No" next to my letters status. I just called up to double check with them and they said that they received the letters and were just waiting to update their system. She then updated my application and I am now under review.
I guess you have to just stay on top of them. Now hopefully an invite.

Those of you that got the invites: When did you complete and what are you stats?

Did anyone get a complete email or did they just check to see if there were yes's on the secondary website?
 
I did not get an email stating that I was complete. I did get the email very late at night about my interview though (around midnight) and that seems to be their typical send time.
 
anyone receive an interview that has been verified since 8/11?
 
I just finished the secondary to Jefferson. Am I applying too late for this or other schools, and will this hurt my chances? I am completing the rest of my secondaries this weekend. 3.62 GPA, 35S MCAT, tons of research experience

I definitey don't think you're too late. August seems like the time that most students submit secondaries, so you're right in the middle of the pack. You have a great mcat so i'm sure you'll be fine!🙂
 
been pretty quiet here. anybody have any news? i feel like they sent out a bunch of invites, and then just disappeared

Ya, didn't get one first round, hopefully I'll get one the second round lol.
 
I just got an interview invite today, scheduled for 10/28. I checked my status page around 9 PM and noticed it and then I got the e-mail later. Maybe they are sending out another batch, good luck to all!

im def not checking for any more status updates for any school tho (as long as i know the file is complete), it just adds to to the obsession

I was complete with Jeff in probably the first batch but just got my invite this week! So don't worry 👍 I don't think you can say that because you submitted with first batch you have to get an invite with the first batch or you won't get one till march/will be rejected

I was complete 7/20. I was beginning to think that I had been passed over right before getting the invite, so don't worry there is still a good chance for all you guys!
 
whats up guys. Got everything in about a week ago (4.0, 36Q). How do you check the status of your app? Do you just sign into the secondary page?

yep thats about it. if u get an interview theres some interview tab or something that shows up apparently.
 
Why does jefferson want your SAT scores? What if you dont remember them?
Does URM constitute disadvantage status, as well?
Do you need to mail your transcript to jefferson?
Are you supposed to say yes to this? The wording is consfusing: Have you read, and do you understand the academic and technical standards described in the "Information for Prospective Students" brochure and can you comply with those requirements; including successful criminal background check?

SAt scores i dont know...If you dont remember them make your best guess or just leave it blank.

URM does not equate disadvantage, only click on that box if u did so on amcas app..

u dont have to mail transcript

say yes to that techinical standards thing

include any updates or new activities in the box, such as activities u started now but couldnt add on amcas...do w/e you want. IMO just dont write why jefferson in there. Though im sure some did that.

I did a why Jefferson? essay and got an interview so don't worry about it if you chose to do that.

and i wrote nothing and got an interview, so either way it doesn't seem to matter a whole lot 👍
 
It asks what program you're applying for:
a) Physician Shortage Area Program
b) M.D./Ph.D. Program
c) Dimer Program

I'm just doing the MD program, so do I just put "No" for all of them?
 
is there a max to how many lors we can send them, on top of their 4 required ones? i was planning on sending 7 total.
 
I received and submitted 8/10.. Was complete 8/11.. and heard today.. Haven't received an email yet, just noticed my status page changed this afternoon.
 
Is there another status page that you are talking about? My status page just shows my information and that they have received my secondary. I just clicked on the "view status of secondary application" link.

apparently an interview tab shows up if you've been invited.
 
its right below the list of "YES" on the secondary application status site... it just says interviewed offered and the date

no idea.. but I am sure since it is early on in the season, they will be fairly accomodating..

You might want to email them. I emailed yesterday to make sure they had my letters, and within an hour, I had a response and a complete email.

I thought they don't hand out complete emails...only status change to all YES...am i correct???
