For people rejected post-interview how did you find out (snail mail vs. email) and how long after the committee met did they tell you?

My numbers are 3.5/36S, and I'm OOS (from CA).

Till when does Loyola interview through? I am debating calling them on Thursday to see if there has been any movement on my app (complete since Aug)...I am pretty sure I am out of the game by now since I still don't have an invite 🙁

They interview through April. Seems like Loyola extends invites pretty close to the interview date, so I think there's still a chance.

Any ideas on how full the class already is, or how many more interviews they most likely will be giving? Thanks! :luck:

Yes! In and so excited. I completely fell in love with this school on my interview day. And it all happened so fast. Went from no word for months (and thinking I wasn't going to hear anything) to interview invite and interview within a week of each other and acceptance a little more than a week later.

Has anyone made a facebook group or acceptance forum for the class yet

Thats great, I hope the same thing happens to me! After my interview, I want to go here sooooo bad, it's killing me that I have to wait another two weeks grrrrrrr
hopefully then I'll be able to join the fb group 😀

how does loyola's admissions committee work. Are they meeting weekly on a certain day or once a month to decide interviews/acceptances or what?
 
Anyone know if they take pre-interview updates?

I called a few Thursday's ago, and the person I talked to was completely clueless as to what I was asking.

Called today and was told I was rejected pre-interview. They said in December that they would review me again and to call in January. When I called in January, they said I was still being considered for an interview and to call today. OUCH

I just called... still under review.

OOS - 3.5/30MCAT/TopTierSchool/LOTS of research experience
submitted in November.

Think I have any chances? The guy said they review until the END of April...

Okay I sucked it up and called. Lady on the phone said my file has been reviewed, and if selected for an interview, I will be contacted any time between now and the beginning of April.

Waiting... Suuucksss...
 
Well, the wait finally ended. Not in the best of ways but I'll take it at this point.

Just called a few minutes ago and the guy said my file has been reviewed for the last time and I was not chosen to get an interview. They will officially send me a letter in a couple weeks.
Can't believe I got rejected again by my Alma matter.

Well, good luck to all those were accepted. Happy waiting to those who are still in the running. Over and Out.
 
Just called admissions. She also told me I was flagged for another review between now and the end of April. It'd be great to get another interview in, but it feels so late!
 
I'm also flagged for review. I've sent in two updates to my application. I hope they help.

Complete middle of November, so, I'm not sure if someone is actively reading my application or if it is yet to be read.

i also got the "still under review"...i was complete at the beginning of november and never called and checked after i called to make sure i was complete, however today the woman said, "i'll let them know that you called"....maybe i'll call a little more often now heh
 
It's always the same nice lady that answers the phone for status checks. I feel bad for her. She must get tired of answering a gajillion phone calls from crazy pre-meds. I would so call in sick on Thursdays. :laugh:

i also feel bad for her, but at least she knows she's going to have to deal with us only 1 day a week....that probably makes it a little better (not by very much though heh)

Last week when I called it was a guy. So maybe they trade off or make bets on stuff and the loser has to answer the phones on thursday.
 
I just called and they said I'm under review with the admissions committee. Last week when I called they said i was flagged for further review. Does this mean that my "further review" is happening right now? eeeek. I've been complete since the end of August...

I called today too and was told that they committee has made a decision and will not be offering me an interview this year or something similar. I hope I heard her wrong b/c she was talking so fast, probably to get to all the people on hold, but I doubt it. Sigh...so much money going down the drain...

I talked to the guy this morning around 9:30 their time and he already seemed fed up with telling people their updates lol.:laugh:

I was waitlisted in November too. Not sure what the pattern is, but the letter made it sound like no one would be given an acceptance from the waitlist until after May 15 when some spots open up. I think I'm going to withdraw, though 🙁
 
Did anyone send a pre-interview update letter? If so, what address should we send them to? Thanks!
 
Called today. Was told something like "flagged for another review sometime between now and April."

Not sure when I was "complete," but I mailed my secondary at the beginning of September. OOS, 30, 3.5.
 
Oh yet another Thursday and yet another chance to debate whether I want to call and be told the same thing for the 100th time.
 
I thought I got my rejection letter from them yesterday, but it was a letter about their SMP. I wonder how they got my info? Totally random? Anyone get the same letter?
 
Sorry if this has been posted a bunch, but can someone tell me the number to call or a link where I can find it? Or is it just the admissions office number....?

When I was waiting in the admissions office for my tour guide to pick me up on my interview day, I couldn't believe how many times the phone rang with applicants inquiring about their statuses. I said to one of the admissions people, "wow, you should make note of every time someone calls to repeatedly check their status," and she said, "We do...Oh trust me...we do."

I'd say DON'T call. But it's up to you!
