Also, how long does it take them to download your letters? It is counting down to my last days but they still haven't downloaded my letters...
 
That would push me past the deadline... 🙁

Man, I wanted Sept 29 too but it was taken by the time I signed up. =\ I shouldn't have been so indecisive haha. Oh well!
 
For some reason my application says my pre-requisites are incomplete... damn. I don't know why it says that, and the apps are due tomorrow, so I hope I can get this straightened out. They originally didn't have my letters of rec posted until I e-mailed them.
 
anyone going on the oct 29th? seems like i'm the only one who signed up that late. hopefully it won't work against me.

Still haven't received secondary.. Anyone else in same boat? I think it's because they just got my mcat scores last week.. Hmm

Called their office today - they said due to some problems last week they were unable to download AMCAS letters. I asked about the deadline isssue and they said it would be fine.

Thomas, on you pre-reqs page, do you have a "submit" button at the bottom? If click there to submit.

If not, do you have one entry in YOUR list for each of the areas listed at the tope of the page? If not, that is why you don't have the submit button

I do not have a submit button... can you please explain the second part of what you said?

One entry for each of the areas listed? Like one chemistry, one o.chem, etc? because i do have that and i still am not able to submit... I'm really trying to figure this out... thanks

got it sorted... thank you very much for bringing this to my attention, I don't know how I missed that. Really puttin myself behind the 8-ball here... damn...

Wooh... got secondary (tuesday) so there is still hope for those without MCAT scores in!
 
I turned in my secondary like a month ago, but forgot to submit my courses on the application so my application was left incomplete this ENTIRE time. My letters were not downloaded either, so I figured I was like wayyyy back...mebbe the 5000th applicant to be considered!

BUT, I fixed the problem, got a complete email in morning today and an interview invite! I am thoroughly impressed by UCD's fast acting adcoms. 👍

I never got a complete email. Was the interview invite in the complete email? Did other people get a complete email?

Does your status page have all green checkmarks? (don't forget to scroll down too.) The complete email looks like this...

Thanks for posting that. The receptionist said that emails are automatically sent but some people didn't get it.

what is going on here? I got a secondary from UCSF but not Davis... I don't have crazy stats or anything so I was really surprised & stoked about SF, but now I'm getting worried. I repeat "positive thoughts positive thought" to myself but it's not helping.

When was your AMCAS verified? Do you have an MCAT score in waiting? I think Davis sends pre-secondary rejection emails, so if you haven't heard anything, then you're not out yet. Congrats on the SF app though.

yeah I think they're just running a little behind. I added them a few months ago, and just last week did I receive both confirmation that they received my primary and a secondary invite (at the same time).
 
Does anyone know if they offer student hosting? If not, did anyone find a super cheap place to stay? And what about getting there from the airport?
 
My LOR's and prerequisites are showing as incomplete still. I submitted on 8/15. Did anyone else have this problem?

What did you do to fix the problem? Had your 30 days to complete the app. already expired?
 
hey nacholibre, I submitted last week and I'm complete as of today. Have your LORs been received by AMCAS and everything? Also, I didn't receive a complete email, I just checked the status tonight.
 
I never got a complete email. I learned via checking the status. The interview invite email came separately, by itself.

AMCAS has my LORs. It also says that my prereqs aren't complete. I submitted on 8/10 so I am kind of freaking out that something is wrong. But I am out of state so maybe they just aren't moving as fast on mine. Did you have the same problem with the incomplete red x next to your prereqs?

no I didn't have that problem with the pre-reqs. you know, you probably haven't "submitted" your pre-reqs, which means you haven't entered a course for all the required categories yet. after you have entered a course in all the required categories a submit button appears at the bottom of the page and that's how your pre-req status gets complete.
 
Interview.

The only days available to me are fridays. which sucks because all my classes are mon/wed/fri so I was trying to schedule interviews for tuesdays or thursdays
 
hey guys what kind of turnaround times are you seeing between having your app complete and getting an interview/some sort of decision? im about to submit my secondary this afternoon...

I've been complete for nearly a month. But there's no set turn-around time. some people hear back within days for an interview, but previous years have said that you could turn in a secondary in July and not get an interview invite till March or April. It's just that SDN people love to assume they're rejected if they don't hear anything within 2 weeks.

hahaha, amen...it also doesn't help that i'm living this year with a fellow MSTPer who's stats are better than mine and has been getting interview invites already :/
 
Hey have any OOSers received invites yet? Does anyone know how strong of a tie to california a tie has to be for consideration?
 
so how quickly does the fact that i paid the secondary fee reflect in the status page? I've been checked 10 min later and saw nothing

just got an interview today super excited 1st UC interview!!!
 
Anyone know if not getting a Davis secondary soon after being verified would mean I am probably not getting one?

When you get a rejection, it means you probably won't be getting one. Otherwise, be patient.

Took my time filling this one out because I had to figure out how I was going to meet their pre-reqs. Why is this the only school that doesn't take AP Calculus? 😡
