i'm pretty sure all HPL letters say this. HPL isn't technically a waitlist, it's more like a post-interview hold. they usually don't do much with the HPL'ers until april, when they then decide whether to a) accept, b) actually waitlist, or c) reject you (so basically the same outcomes as before the HPL..just delayed).

do they actually accept HPLers in April? I was looking through last year's thread and it seems all of them were either waitlisted or rejected

several HPL's were accepted in april last year. a few were actually accepted in march
 
Yes, I received it a few hours ago and it was postmarked Feb. 18 🙂

UCSF here I come!

Acceptance! I interviewed on December 8th. The letter was received today at my preferred address in Miami, which is different from my permanent address in California. (I actually changed my preferred address from Miami to one in Boston a few months ago through AMCAS, but the letter was sent to my old preferred address. So if you've changed your address in the last few months, you may want to call the admissions office to check on which one they're using.) The letter was dated Feb. 18th and postmarked on the 18th as well.

I just got my acceptance letter. I'm at a loss for words.

Interview: November 12
Letter dated: February 18

Also, I'm a gulf coast guy - Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Congrats! I didn't realize that we interviewed the same day. I think i remember you, I don't think there was more than one person from Florida that day. None the less I'm glad someone from our day heard.

No hpl or acceptance for me though. I am praying to God that I haven't been reviewed, trying to ward off that rejection. Lol

im right there with you calbear, i really really really hope for a big envelop or no envelop at all :xf::luck::luck:
 
Resist feeling down or panicking if people from your interview date already heard while you haven't. There are too many reasons why delays happen, but the delay doesn't seem to say anything about the outcome. I know it is hard 'coz I've been there before, but just hang tight and take care of yourself. :luck: to those still waiting!

Those who got accepted last month, did you already send your indication of intent? And do they acknowledge receipt of the form? Thanks!

CalBear, there was one guy from UMiami at our interview -- he was very tall. But I'm not him... although I kind of wish I was, so I could talk about myself in third person. I was one of the girls. I think I remember you, though I could have mixed you up with someone else, because Berkeley was really representin' on our interview day.

Either way, much luck to both of you. I really hope you get good news soon.

Accepted 🙂. I was at the last interview day in December, IS, live in Atlanta
 
Umm, How many of us early interviewers with no news are still out there? Is there like alot, do you think, or are we a very very select few? WHat is going on, even HPL is sounding good right now...
 
Has anyone who interviewed in early Jan gotten a decision? Does anyone know when the next adcom meeting is?

was told at my interview in feb that the committee meets the 1st/2nd of each month, and decisions go out a couple of weeks later.
 
So does anyone know if the committee meets this week? I have nervous/bad feelings about this one...

Based on thier pattern I think they meet either today, or met yesterday. Good luck to everyone. I really just want this to be over. Please let me know something UCSF, I'm going insane!

I second this. I'd appreciate it if someone would post once they receive some type of correspondence so we know what's happening! I'm anxious...
 
I guess they must not have met on Monday or someone would have heard by now...here's to more waiting!

No no - they meet at the beginning of the month but don't mail things out until around the 20th. The decisions have likely been made...
 
Man I wish every school admissions had a twitter page like Michigan (didn't even apply there, but I might have just for the fact that they have a twitte page lol) or was as transparent over the phone like UCSD. I'm tired of all this speculation.

Hang in there guys. We HAVE to hear something soon. I mean they are done with interviews, so maybe they are putting more effort into decisions now?

We can only hope. I think it's kind of funny that they go through so much effort on the interview day about the process, and yet I'm still anxious, haha.
 
Got a letter today with financial aid website login. I was hpl'ed last Month.

got the same thing today. i think it's a definite improvement on my part to not get a surge of adrenaline through my body whenever a letter from ucsf coems now

I just received it too - I interviewed in Early February and haven't gotten any decision yet. It sounds like they give it to anyone who is still in the running; it states "The Financial Aid Office will award financial aid only to students who have been admitted and have accepted their offers of admission".

I was HPL'ed in January, and I did not get this letter... Why am I stressing over things like financial aid letters?! :laugh:

By the way, is everyone filling this stuff out? Some of the documents have processing fees...

Is there anybody else who hasn't heard back yet or who was hpl'ed and hasn't received that finanicial aid letter? I'm trying not to read too much into it... But acccck. And did all of you who got letters turn in your fafsa with sf added?

Sf pleeeeease give me *something* even if it is just a website log in!!!!

Haha I feel the same way. Today marks my 3 month (quarter year if you wanna be dramatic) anneversary of my interview and I haven't heard a peep, not even that damn financial aid letter. Sorry to all of you hearing me act a fool over the last 3 months. Please let this be over soon.
