is there any way for ppl who arent on campus yet to see it?
As far as I know it's not posted online anywhere...

Aghh.. I've abstained for a couple months from SDN. It really helps with the neuroticism while waiting. But I'm here again, and the neurotcism immediately returns, as I'm in the HPL list hoping to get off.
We're supposed to hear back later this month and just browsed last year's thread on what to roughly expect.
In April,
Acceptance post-HPL: 0
Acceptance post-interview: 4
Alternate post-HPL: 6
Alternate post-interview: 1
Reject post-HPL: 3
Reject post-interview: 0
It's a small sample data, but it looks like us HPL'ers are in for a tough month or two. In mid to late May is where ppl start to hear back on getting acceptances post-alternate-post-HPL.
Me.so how many of you guys are still waiting to hear this month?

Has anyone received their financial aid award? They have had my documents for several weeks. Did you receive an email, or did you just check the financial aid portal each day?
Can anyone tell me the dates for the second-look day/weekend?
Is it worth it to fill out the "full funding" application unless you are severely disadvantaged?I am wondering about this too. They have all my documents but I have not heard back yet.
Congrats to everyone who got in. This school is in my top 3 choices. I was wondering what does it take to get in (Besides good numbers)??
Thanks
Hey Andaluthina,What up Justin,
Go to mdapplicants.com and look at ppl who have gotten in. It gives you a general idea of what some people have done to get in and their thoughts on the process. Keep in mind the data is probably skewed high (either thru self-selection or whatever the GPA and MCAT numbers are a little higher than what some schools themselves publish), but at least you'll have an idea of the range and depth of what some ppl have done. Now, some folks might be against mdapps because the whole idea is not to just do what everyone else does (which you should never do anyways) but it is useful to know that just because you have some research, volunteer and leadership experience and ok numbers, you are not guaranteed anything. IMO, it's all about real depth and quality (and, I'd argue, diversity). That goes for any top school, not just UCSF.
And remember, there are no guarantees. I never thought id get into UCSF, to be honest. I thought I fit really well at Mayo. I never thought they'd see me fitting in at Cornell. Didnt even get an interview at Columbia, Yale, Havard, JHU...
But correct me if im wrong, is this the correct thread to post non-2010 questions?

The night of April 30th through the afternoon of May 2nd.
Really easy, just talk about ur interest. It's blind so they know nothing about u. My Interviewer was really laid back and just wanted to know how I became interested in working with the underserved, what I expected to get from the program, and my personal history. GL!invite to interview for prime, which i'm super excited about, buuuuut i'm getting a little antsy because unlike the school interviews, i feel like i have no idea what to expect from this one (plus i hate phone interviews!!) sooooo, can anybody in the program or who has already interviewed speak at all roughly as to what the interview looks like?
thank you!!
Dunno, but my status changed to that as well, and I haven't received anything yet. I suppose now I know what to expect 🙁Last week, I got an HPL letter that was dated March 31st. Today, I noticed that my status page changed to the blurb that says: "Correspondence has been mailed..."
Does this status change reflect an HPL letter, or does it mean that a new, "final" decision (reject/WL/accept) was more recently mailed?
Replies that include the answer, "Logan, just chill the eff out and wait" are entirely acceptable 🙂.
I'm pretty sure that is referring to the HPL. I wouldn't worry much about that. Hopefully they start pulling more people off though!Last week, I got an HPL letter that was dated March 31st. Today, I noticed that my status page changed to the blurb that says: "Correspondence has been mailed..."

thank you 🙂🙂
probably the hpl, i got one of those after i received my hpl and didn't get anything else. i think they post it like 2 weeks after they mail you something, so that you don't freak out between the time they mail something home and you actually receiving it

edit: sorry, i was quoting onemcataway's post about the correspondence msg
Definitely right. I got the correspondence status a few weeks after receiving the HPL and have received nothing in the mail since.
ok that clears things up! but the HPL'ers are supposed to hear something by the end of April 😏
Check last year's thread to see if HPL'ers heard via email last year about the WL.
Well I finally received the HPL letter that eluded me for the last couple of weeks. Good luck to everyone else waiting, I know how you feel 🙂![]()
It was mailed 3/29 but I didn't get it until today. Weird, considering I'm only up here in Oregon!was this supposed to come in with the last batch or was it recently dated? good luck to you too, i hope we hear some good news soon![]()
For the people who have been accepted/rejected/alternate-listed from the HPL list.... has your status changed from 'Correspondence has been mailed to you regarding your application to the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine and should have reached you by now. If you have not received it, you may call the Admissions Office. Please note that we are unable to discuss status information over the phone.' ?
I was accepted off the HPL last month but my status is still the same as what you wrote up there
btw, has anyone heard back about financial aid from UCSF yet? It's been weeks since my application was complete
how detailed is the fin aid here? i have yet to start mine 😀
The profile is a b***h. Its like filling out a FAFSA on crack. Then you have to send in copies of you and your parents tax returns. THEN you have to pay college board $25.
Oh no i was afraid of that, is there a deadline for it?
Look above, I answered a bit earlier this week.does anyone know what's the PRIME-US interview like? I was recently invited ...
