Yeah, I was complete long before that and am in the same category as you. I really wish it meant that we'd get interviewed eventually, but I doubt it...I think it's just a nice way of saying you're on hold.

I think so too. In the e-mail I got when they told me I was complete, they said that status meant they re-review the applications weekly and make a new decision. So hopefully we'll hear something soon.

I will se you fri I know the feeling we are the first invites after EDP. I am still shocked that they invited me......:xf:

Hey every1!

Im interviewing on Friday and Im so excited I cant even sleep. This is def my top choice school 😍 its close to home and all the facilities and technologies are BRAND NEW! I think being the second class with such a small class size is pretty cool too. Anyway, I was wondering who else was interviewing this friday? It'd be nice to meet a couple of you beforehand just to ease off some of the stress from the day and get to know eachother a little better.

GOOD LUCK to every1 else!!! :luck: Hopefully we all get into our top choice schools:xf::xf::xf:

First Post btw 🙂

I have a bad feeling that we are a big club...sounds like we are in a second priority pool

God forbid you only get accepted to n - 1 schools... and n being >5 😉

Haha...need I remind you that I failed to get more than 1 interview last cycle, let alone an acceptance. This cycle I'm a lot less confident even though I feel I have a substantially improved app. So far with only 1 interview, it's tough to say if he adcoms Agree...

that was my status and i got the phone call today...

Think about it this way, it's early in the interview cycle and you already tied yourself last year. Improvement is the only thing left to do from the tie you have now. You'll get in somewhere, I'd bet on it. I think a re-applicant with a drastically improved application shows significant commitment to medicine.

Chin up!

thanks! I'll go do some chin ups now. After I install my pull-up bar.

good luck to everyone i had my interview and it was great that is all i will say the probabilty of me being one of the 60 is almost like winning the lottery lol. But i am still honored to have had the experience. They do show you love.😍😍

Just got an email from UCF inviting me to apply to their graduate schools...I hope that's not a hint or something....

Hmm...I know emails like that usually go out due to GRE scores and possibly ethnicity. I have no idea why they would send you that. 😵

Me neither, and I was kinda excited when I saw an email from UCF too....

I got the same e-mail but to be fair, its my undergrad

My app has said HOLD FOR INFORMATION - MCAT/GPA for like 3 whole business days and the weekend now.

Guess they're busy?

Meh.

You should ask them about that because I did and they said I needed an extra "character" letter that I didnt have. So it wasnt mcat/gpa stuff

Man, it occurred to me earlier that I didn't have a second character letter! Thanks for the info!

I don't know who I could ask for one. Can a coworker do it? Cause they are not a professor or a boss or a PI. Hmmm... I'm going to peruse their website or give them a call to see what counts.

it could be anyone from my understanding (outside of family)

Wow...congrats. Blahhhh I'm still getting the shaft

Thanks man. I don't think it's a huge deal to get passed over on the first go around, I'm pretty sure UF and Miami have done that to me already. SLU did as well, but I got it on one of the next batches. I hope something like that will happen to us with the other schools we've applied to!

So I can't check my status on the UCF website because I forgot both my login and my password.

Anyone have a solution?

Isnt your logn the amcas number and password your last 4 or 6 of the ss number i think

BTW, Mr. Larkin, it was a great pleasure speaking with you on the phone!

Yea, login is the AMCAS ID and password is the last 4 digits of your social.

I've tried that, and five hundred other combinations, and it still won't work! My application has been complete for a couple of weeks but I still can't check my status. Do they send out e-mails for interview invites? I don't want to miss an interview invite just because I can't check my status page.

Call them

Call them

I guess I will on Monday. I was going over my e-mails from them and saw this in my complete e-mail:

"*Applicant Dashboard - The "status" section of this dashboard is still in the hands of the developers who should be able to deliver within the next 7-10 days. Thank you for your patience."

Could that be why I can't log in? I still should be able to log into the main application page, right? And I got this mid-September too.. It's been more than 10 days!

You have probably locked yourself out of your application. We can unlock it. Please send an email to [email protected] to unlock it.

please excuse the last post it was already addressed. sorry

My only options to fly back the same day are flights at either 6.05 or 6.47...For those of you who already interviewed, do they really finish at 4.00 ? Lots of traffic at that time or not ? According to google maps, it's only half an hour to get to the airport from campus.

I think you'd be okay with 6:47.. the airport isn't far and its pretty organized imo

Justed wanted to stop by and wish everyone the best of luck with applications and interviews. I know everyone is stressed, just be patient and everything will fall into place. If you have any questions just let me know.

Getting in should not be as tough as it was last year since they are not offering to pay their students' tuition.

I think it will still be pretty tough. They are trying to offer pretty enticing scholarships this year around too. I think they will do their best to make this year competitive, since it would suck if the 1st year was all high stats people and the next year wasn't. Just saying...don't count on it being easy. I really wish it were, since I'd love to go there, but I tend to take a grimmer view of things.

Any ideas on how many people with the "Eligible for Interview" status are actually going to get interviews?

I asked REL and he didn't give me a specific/definite answer...I'd love to know the answer to this question as well. Obviously though, it's hard to tell since this is the first year they are using this system. The only way to know our chances would be to identify exactly how many people are in this category.

* plays the wish upon a star song as background music

Commentator: Ezsanche, now that you have gotten an interview invite from the UCF COM how do you plan to celebrate?

Me: "I'm going to Disney World!"

Where Dreams Comes True !!

November 20th !!! Who is with me?

I have been trying to convince my husband that if I get an interview here he has to go to Disney with me 😛

Has anyone interviewed here? What are the chances of getting in once you interview? Any stats from last year (30%, 60%, etc). Also, how was the actual interview. Were they friendly?

I heard there is a surgery viewing during lunch. This makes me nervous? Is it gruesome? I want to be a doctor, not a surgeon, and once got whoozy during a hip replacement surgery I shadowed. Also, I don't especially associate surgery with food.

You should always associate surgery with me.
