I think that would be the ideal Christmas present for us all.
fourthed! 😀Thirded!
Dude. Baller. 👍i joined just to say "fifthed" 🙂
I'm pulling for you, JJ.
just checked my email!! accepted today after being deferred in October!!!! I can't believe it!
by the way, I'm not a troll. I'm an occasional poster, but since I know only 10 people were accepted, I created this name to remain anonymous. Normally I wouldn't post my acceptance, but I'm just doing it so that you all know that U-M HAS sent them out. Congrats to anyone else out there who was accepted!

Losing interest in the school with each one of these teases.
Merry Christmas to all.
Blue elmo is a woman! I miss the old avatar (which led me to believe you were a man.)
So I know that UM sees what schools you've been accepted to in March, and then they give scholarships to match your best offer (e.g. if Michigan's tuition is $40k and your in-state school's tuition is $30k, Michigan will give you a $10k scholarship). Do they do this for ALL accepted students? Or just to the really good ones? Also, if you get a scholarship to another school, on top of lower tuition, would Michigan also try to match that? For instance, if I were to be accepted to Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland gives full-tuition scholarship to all students) by some sort of crazy luck, would Michigan give a full-tuition scholarship??? I highly doubt it, but just thought I would ask anyway!

Where did you hear that they match your in-state school's lower tuition? That would be fantastic! 😱
I was under the impression that they gave recruitment scholarships to students they wanted, and that those scholarships may depend on what other schools you were in at.
I'm guessing they do this to encourage students who are awesome to come to their school over someone else. They do it so at least tuition isn't a factor. I can't imagine that they have the money to do this for everyone. If you're just an average admitted student it doesn't matter whether they get you or the next person on the list with similar appeal.
Here's a speculative question:
The University of Michigan bought Pfizer's research facilities in a relatively low price. They plan to use the facilities for biomedical research. What do you think the University of Michigan's research ranking will be in 1 year? How about in 5 years?
...and he has an awesome avatar, lolLabslave, you're the best!🙂
"Very busy day-unfortunately closing large numbers of files beginning tomorrow. Still reviewing other files (R&NR) for remaining interviews."
What's R&NR mean?

+1going to hazard a guess: (non)resident
yeah no closure here yet either... though i was kind of expecting it when i checked a few minutes ago. guess well just have to wait until the mass closings of files
if i recall correctly, i think that you have to check your online status to see if your file has been closed... at least that's why i keep checking mine anyway.Could someone remind me if they send out rejections via email or snail mail?
I haven't heard anything yet....
