finally got an interview invite. scheduled for early october. only get a one-week notice, but I can't complain 🙂

Just got back home from my interview today, and it was actually the first day they did interviews. I enjoyed it, and I'll post in the interview feedback page tomorrow, but for now I'm tired after that long drive...

I just got back too. It's cool to meet SDN people in person. How long a trip was it from Memphis to Knoxville? If I go to UT, I'd be making that trip a lot.

For those of you about to interview, be prepared for lots of ethical dilemma questions. My interview was pretty confrontational about difficult situations where both sides of the answers could be attacked.

Hey man, good to hear from ya. It took about six hours to get back. And yes I had about 5 ethical questions from my interviewer. I think its cause I made the lowest grade of my college career in bioethics (I hate reading philosophy papers). You head back to Canada?

Look at the very top of the page. There is a blue bar across the top, and inside that bar is a tab called "Interview Feedback". Just look for allopathic medical schools and then for UT-Memphis (if that's what you want).

Do you think we'll know this week? I thought they said they would be sent out at the end of this week. Plus, a friend at UT-Memphis said they were sometimes slow on getting letters out. I hope we found out this week though!

Submitted the secondary Aug. 21 and heard back about a month later. Hope you hear something soon!

I got an email ten minutes ago saying that my acceptance packet will be sent on Tuesday! Check your email people! I also remember Diane saying to keep the email notification on the low-down so I don't know if I should have just made that public or not... Good Luck!

phew! I called today cause I was worried cause I hadn't heard anything from them. They told me my interviewer was out of town last friday and so they didn't get a chance to review my file yet. I was so nervous I hadn't gotten in, but it looks like I just have to be patient... again...

Has anyone OOS gotten an secondary invite yet? I got the email notification of AMCAS on 8/18. Just wondering if i will be getting a rejection letter soon.

I recently received an interview invite! I'm OOS with GPA in the 3.8-3.9 range and MCAT in the 30 - 34 range.

I understand how nervous you are. I am sure it is not a rejection since they do not reject that early. Let's hope that it is an acceptance Good luck!

I never received any correspondence from UT-Memphis through this entire application process. No secondary invite and no rejection for the second year in a row. I considering contacting them but at this point everything would be late and I would be wasting my money. Thanks UT-Memphis. 😡

659 applied, 429 interviewed, 222 were accepted, 143 enrolled

Perhaps they only screen for residency since there are no essays on the secondary you could be right, but considering the manpower needed to get through these applications, the 50$ fee would justify the time to consider applicants seriously.

Isn't it a little early to get waitlisted?... Don't you think? I hope you are on the top tier though. Do you mind sharing your stats? you can PM me if you would like. Can anyone who interviewed post the link to the calender that shows when interviews are and committee meetings. I was complete three weeks ago and want to know if I have a shot before christmas for a interview!!!

They interview on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays I believe. The committee meets every two weeks. They met last Friday so you can figure out their meeting times. I sent my secondary mid August and got a interview invite in late September and interviewed early October. I still have not heard anything from them.
