They probably will. I emailed them about this a while ago they said something like you have to fill out some form or something...point being they didnt seem to anal about it, id just call and make sure.

can you guys tell me about their letter requirement? are we allowed to add additional essays and if so how many? i think the whole letter uploading from amcas is not as fast as i thought so maybe ill do that here before i get the secondary 😛

its like 2 sci 1 non sci something along those lines. You cant add additional essays, theres an optional section but its means for like updates or small things, not some bs I love vermont essay. Also updating letters through amcas is very very fast. Its instant as long as your prof will do it online via amcas.

So it says the non-science letter in the committee packet is suppposed to be from someone we took a class with. My 'non-science' is a professor I do research with, that I guess could be considered science if I wanted it to be. Do I have to call them to confirm this, before I pay, or should I just go with it?

I'd ask them. What's 12 hours for money in your pocket and reassurance?

it says in the info for the criminal convictions section parking are the only violations that don't need to be documented....so do I have to include my 3 non moving (2 at 16 and 1 at 20yrs old for expired license reg, taillight out and not having license with me) it isn't criminal nor is it a speeding violation...i was looking at last years thread and it seems that they are suggesting that everything should be listed...such crap if so

if u read their faq it basically states speeding tickets do need to be listed that are in the past 5 years. but other violations dont need to be. thats the way i understood it.

Ohh cool - was curious though - cuz a speeding ticket shouldn't have an effect on devision, imo - and it does not, at schools im familiar with.

Received and submitted the secondary yesterday. I love secondaries with no essay.

Also, I don't understand how a speeding ticket could ever be relevant to applying to med school... I can't believe they would ever want to see those.

i actually haven't gotten the 2ndary yet but just preparing what I should write for the speeding ticket section.

Should I simply write that I got a speeding ticket on xx/xx/200x? or should I write details as in how fast I was going and what was the speed limit? Don't want to say beyond what I have to. It was only an infraction (standard ticket) so I don't know how big of a deal it is.

ok so they ask for 4 letters if no committe (3 required).

2 science letters
1 non-sci
1 optional.

Thats all there is space for on the application. There isnt anything stating you can or can not add more the 4 tahts easily identifiable on the app, id call them or read the faq to double check, but it seems 4 is probably the max.

i have another question for the population stuff: if you guys lived in the dorms/apt at your college for one or two years do you include that city as well?
and for the small cities that are part of a larger city what did you guys do? for example do you say encino, ca or los angeles, ca since it is part of that?!!

im using Wikipedia for the population stuff, is that legit?!

yes to everything, and say encino if thats where you lived. List city not county.

lol just type [QUOTE#] before whatever you quote, and then [/QUOTE#]. But don't use the # sign in either one. Obviously, I had to do that or it would quote "before whatever you quote, and then" lol
