No kidding. She's everywhere and seems to know everything... Something's fishy here. Are you a spy from a med school trying to find out who's legit and who's not? I'd guess you're a spy for BU, and that's how they're determining their rejects.

i know some ppl that were complete in mid july and havent heard anything yet, at least a couple weeks before u. so i wouldnt be too concerned yet 🙂

Yeah, I was complete on 7/26. But I doubt that's comforting: knowing my stats, you might not want to be in my company! But it seems that rejections come early....

I don't think so. I got the "may" status and am OOS and I'm pretty sure that others have submitted a secondary and gotten worse statuses or rejected out of state too.

complete 7/23 and nothing. i don't think its a big deal since they arent just posting yay or nay status updates, the updates are pretty detailed

my guess is we were assigned to be reviewed by an adcom whos on vacation

I don't think that's true. I heard they do interview quite a few of the OOS students who apply and are given secondarys, but as shown in this thread they can quickly be denied as well.

As an OOS, secondary invited, subsequently rejected applicant, I promise he/she is lying.

VCU seems to be rejecting A LOT of people.... I'd say aside from BU, it has sent the most number of rejections by now.

We have almost the exact same stats (and OOS) and I'm on hold at the moment (can't remember what message originally).... seems like I might be getting a rejection too 🙁

I got put "on hold for grades" meaning they want to see my Fall semester grades (I think). My stats aren't great so maybe they saw something else in my app they liked that caused them to not just flat out reject me.

I login and the page that is there says my application is complete and under review. Yet people have been completed recently and within two days get an update/rejection. I hate this process

It's pretty easy to find out, especially if you had an online account at collegeboard.com. If you are unable to find your scores you should estimate (as it says on the site).

To omit your SAT scores only because you did poorly on them seems dishonest, so I would include them if you can estimate.

I just called and the lady said that I had been put on hold, and now i'm being reviewed by the sub-committee. Does anyone know if this is good like I may get an interview soon or is this the one where I probably won't get one til like march or something?

I am instate for VCU and i got rejected..my stats are 3.5 and 26..and this was the same day i completed my secondary..i just wanted to know if anyone else instate got rejected..I wrote them a letter about my application but they never got back to me sicne i only noticed OOS rejections..I am sure i got rejected legitly but I cant help but feel that since I seem to be the only instate person that got rejected either my stats are lowest of all instate candidates so they couldnt even stand me or if thye made a administrative glitch and put me in the OOS pile..i dont know..im not trying to sound cocky..i just wish they would indicate if they screen post seocndary and if they do..wut are hte IS screening...

for what its worth, i do know someone IS that was rejected. i dont know their stats though. id just call - you have nothing to lose at this point.
