P.S. I hate the new MDApps layout. It's confusing, and takes forever to load.

I just tried figuring it out and couldn't so deleted mine.

I really can't decide if I should call and ask whats going on with mine. I'm not rejected yet so thats nice, but I have yet to hear anything, even that I was going to go to the sub-committee.

I just spoke to the lady at the admissions office. Apparently, everyone goes through the sub-committee...then you go through comprehensive review...then they give you your status. Then maybe they take you through the sub-committee again.

So sub-committee isn't really a bad thing?

OK well then maybe they are just taking an exhuberently long time with my app haha. Like I said before, until that thing updates saying REJECTED I'm ok.

I'm a bit confused, why is it that some people who are complete after me getting message statuses and invites when my status just says complete still. complete 8/3.

Should i call to see whats up?

NO! i was complete for a month before hearing anything. it doesn't mean anything, they haven't forgotten your file, thrown it away, etc.

vcu is really specific with their status updates so there's no point in worrying until something changes. as you can see, when people go to subcommittee they're notified, when they're being reviewed further, they're notified

the person working on yours probably just hasn't gotten to it

I was getting paranoid, so I e-mailed saying that I just wanted to double check to make sure they had everything they needed from me. They responded back saying that my file was checked out for review, and I'd hopefully have an update in about a week or so.

I hate waiting.

Does this mean if they decide to give us an interview, we'll be interviewing for waitlist spots??

I have been getting that status (#3) since the end of July. How come there is no interview invite for me?

How do they know which type of SAT you took?
For example, if you got a 1590/2400...how will they know that it's not 1590/1600?

Weird. I just received my third status update from VCU.
Each time, I've checked my status page, and found that nothing has changed. No 1, 2, 3 or whatever message. Just "Your application is now complete. The admissions committee will now do a comprehensive review of your file". I was complete on the 14th, and it seems like a bunch of people have been hearing back fairly quickly, which makes me think they've somehow lost my file. Is two weeks a reasonable time-frame? Or should I call to make sure things are still on track?

Nope... it was 2004. I was in one of the last administrations of the old test. The juniors at my school were scrambling to get in before they switched it.

O don't lose hope, I think the "mays" get interviews approximately a month after their status update. A person who posted above me got his status update around mine, so you should get urs in the next batch of people. If I remember you got ur status update on the 20th? So you should get ur interview invite by middle of September. I know that's a long wait, but u'll for sure get one...so just prepare!

I hope so too, I remember there being a lot of October dates. There were no more Septermber. So at this point I think all September interviews are filled up (unless they have a cancellation)

OK, so I just got a status update email and was soo confused by the "MAY" message (why bold + ALL CAPS? either would have gotten the message across just fine, vcu...). Came to SDN for clarification.....saw that it's been a hot topic on here for ages. I really need to keep up with y'all.

Just got the invite! I am interviewing at EVMS on Sept 18th so I am going to call VCU tomorrow to see if I can do those together...maybe VCU on a thurs then take a bus to EVMS...anybody know how accessible the two cities are (as in traveling from one to the other...bus systems? I read its like a 2 hour drive...)

Calm down. You're probably so good that they'll just offer you an acceptance on there. Keep checking every 5 minutes.

IIRC, you have to change the month and year to check for interview slots - when you first login, the month is set at January...try September, then October...I would be really surprised if they are all filled up until January, but maybe so.
