Wow thats awesome! Do you know when accepted students find out which preclincal campus they've been assigned to?
You can make your preference for preclinical campus known soon after you're accepted. They will place people on a rolling basis into either Lansing or Grand Rapids based on preference until one of the campuses fills up, then a waiting list will be created. People with special requirements for one campus (Usually this is students with families) just about always get their preferred campus.
The same holds true for such students with clinical campuses. If your husband gets a job in Flint and you're assigned originally to Kalamazoo, they'll switch you to Flint. Same for if your kid has major health problems and you need to be near the more specialized medical care in Grand Rapids. Or if your spouse is in grad school somewhere in the state. Married students looking for stability can also bet on being able to stay in Lansing or Grand Rapids for four years if they want to.
During your first year you'll have the opportunity to learn about the different clinical campuses and rank your preference for where you'd like to go. I beleive this year's first years will find out some time late this spring where they will go for block III.
