I have a feeling I'm going to be under review for a looooooong time. 🙁
Interview invite today via status update 🙂
Complete: 09/06
Invite: 09/20
Interview: 12/14
The earliest date was for interview was 12/14, so whoever posted about all the dates being filled up until December was right
Completed 9/13...hope I'll be getting an email soooon!
Hey everyone. I just saw that my status was updated saying I was invited for an interview, but when I called the admissions office, the woman told me that I need to wait for an email. Did those of you with interviews already have to wait for an email or were you able to schedule over the phone? Thanks!
Where was the link you clicked on? I clicked on the "Schedule Interview" tab and it told me to call the admissions office to schedule an interview. Once I called, the woman told me I'm supposed to wait for an email. I'm confuzled.
I will try to clear up the confusion. DCJPITT, you applied to St. Luke's or another hospital BESIDES Temple U, correct? If so, you need to call in to schedule your interview.
Those of us who chose Temple's Hospital as choice #1 were just able to click online the day we wanted 🙂.
Regardless, though, a day or so after you are invited by status you get an invite confirming it and i think that is when it is 100% official![]()
How long did it take everyone to get verified your app was complete? I got an email on 8/23 that my payment was received, but still haven't been notified I'm complete, so I'm kind of worried.
Do they send you an email?
Under review since around July 21st to 23rd. Interview invite today! I didn't even get an e-mail yet, just a status update so far.

For those that have scheduled/attended the interview yet, did you go with a morning or afternoon interview time? I'm leaning towards afternoon because I don't want to be thinking about how I did for the rest of the day, but if I did the morning slot, I could just get it over with and then you are done after the 11am-2pm bit, right? Hmmm.
I chose an afternoon time, and I liked the way it worked out. The interviews were back to back - faculty, student. Each was about half an hour. The interviewees that took the morning slot had to arrive earlier and had their faculty interview first, then did the tour with us, then had the student interview in the afternoon. I liked being in "tour mode" and enjoying that, and then doing the interviews together.
There are slots open next week? When I scheduled my interview in August, the first slots open were the end of November. Thanks Ever, I hope so!
Man, there are slots open next week, but I think my boss would kill me after being sick last week and being out on Wednesday for Jeff's interview. I don't have enough time to tell the daycare I need an extra day for the day I'm off for next week, either. Looks like I'm going at the end of the month or maybe November.

I chose the morning, and thought it was perfect. The interview is so chill that you will no doubt spend the rest of the day believing you did amazing and really take in the positive aspects of the day.
Everyone is different though, I personally just like to get it done and not have to think about having a later interview while I should be paying attention to the tour.
Good luck!
Not all the interviews are chill, I had one where I got grilled on healthcare reform and the interviewer kept challenging my statements. With all that said, I don't really get stressed out in those types of situations, so I had a lot of fun in the interview!
I don't think there is any huge difference between morning and afternoon interviews, but if you have 2 interviews in the afternoon, you don't have to show up until 11 AM!
Can I just say... *Drool*
You had one at Temple? Or one in general? (i.e. somewhere else)
Hey guys,
Interviewing at Temple on Tuesday! This may be a silly question, but is the Admissions office located in the Medical Education and Research Building? It says to go to the admissions office at 3500 N Broad which I'm assuming is the MERB..is this right?

The admissions office is straight inside once you enter the MERB! You go in by the main entrance facing Broad St. (the main hospital is directly across the street). There is also a security officer that will check you in right when you get there, and they can give you directions just in case.
You could walk to Temple from Penn in two hours... 🙂Thanks, Evergrey!
Also, I've been hearing horror stories about traffic in Philly. I'm staying with a friend near Penn and was planning on just driving up Broad St. in the morning (my interview is at 9). If I leave really early (say 7 am? Google Maps says 20 mins without traffic) and avoid I-76 completely, is this reasonable? It probably seems like a silly question, but trying to decide whether it's worth it to drive or if I should figure out this SEPTA business.
Thanks!!
Ivy, you are from North Philly? Where'd you grow up? PM if you'd like 🙂Take SEPTA. Seriously.
It'll drop you exactly in front of Temple University. And you don't have to worry about traffic. It's super easy.
If you're near Penn, goto the 34th street subway station. Take the blue line, which goes from 69th street to Frankford (go towards Frankford) to 15th street. At 15th street, there is a (free) switchover to the broad street line (orange line), which you can take to Cecil B. Moore station, which takes you to the campus (the hospital stop is a little different, but the same orange line).
Please don't miss that stop though. A few stops later, you're in my neighborhood. Which may not be fun for you.
I'm kidding, you'd be fine in the morning. 😛
Haha West Philly has its charm too, though I prefer NP.Damn it, I was making a point 😛. I actually grew up around 60th street.

I would go to Temple because it is in North Philly if they offered the joint program I am interested in and could accommodate me with funding (MD/PhD in Medical Anthropology).Anyone else out there who, if accepted, would attend Temple over any other school? I think I would.
Unrealistic hypothetical scenarios aside ("what if Ivy Med gave you a full ride?") I think this school would be the one I'd pick. I know North Philly is rough, but I don't think isolating myself in a pocket of gentrified society is really what I need to grow as a person anyway. I'm impressed with the values of the students, the opportunities Philly offers, and I have a sense of personal connection to this school.
Does anyone else feel especially drawn to Temple, and if so, for what reasons?

So im interviewing at Drexel in Novemeber and I was wondering if Temple does "in the area" emails. Im coming from California so its a long travel. Thanks
I'd like to know as well... anyone know their attitude on this? I don't want to piss them off...
