Hey Everyone - just to let those know waiting for interviews...I've been complete since late July and still have the "being screened" status...hopefully an optimistic sign? I've had friends interview here, and they absolutely loved it! Would love a chance to see the school up close :xf:

Not sure about whether or not it's a death sentence but got the same status today...🙁

Seems like rejections/holds come in droves.
 
For those who have already interviewed at Penn, did your interview day end close to 4 pm? I'm making travel plans and was curious. Thank you!

It really depends what time your interviews are scheduled for (I think it's been said there are three blocks of time - two interviews + one break) and you don't find out your schedule until you arrive in the morning.

In my case, my second interview was in the last slot (3:30 pm) which started a little late and ended around 4:15. Not sure how you're traveling, but I was able to make my way back to the admissions office, "check out," collect my luggage, catch the 4:36 train from University City and arrive at the airport ~5 pm. I had a 6:30 plane to catch, and everything went really smoothly.

Good luck on interview day, it was great!
 
I have a quick question - I know that there is only so much time left in UPenn's interview season (i.e. time left to get an interview invite), but would UPenn still take updates prior to sending interview invitations? Does anyone know how open they are to updates?

Yes, Penn does accept pre-interview updates, but I'm not sure how much it helps. Couldn't hurt though.

Thanks for the quick response! I'm sure that Penn only has so many interviews left, but I still want to help my application as much as possible.
 
Interview invite today! =) Secondary submitted 10/13; don't remember the exact date I was complete.

So I got the "Not selected for interview" status update but now have

Complete - Additional Application Update

Your application continues to be reviewed but there is no change in your status. Reviews will continue.

ALL ADMISSIONS DECISIONS WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY MARCH 15

Has anyone else gotten this status update?

mines still in the screening process...since September. haha, i might as well be written off as deferred. OR...?
 
deleted my e-mail directing me to the secondary..can someone post the link please?

I just checked my status and I now have this message as well.
 
Also does anyone know the post interview acceptance rate?

I don't know what the changes in the application updates mean, but when I called the admissions office, I was told that some applications can be reviewed up to 8 times before an interview is extended. Sounds like they have a crazy reviewing process.

Did they tell you if they're still offering interviews?
 
I made that call sometime in December, but my friend who goes to Penn says that they usually give out interviews until the end of January.
 
I originally had the deferred status when you guys mentioned you all had status updates. I just checked today and have the "complete and continues to be reviewed" status.

Anybody that had such a status change get an interview invite or any other good news from it??
 
Yup, I now have this status, too.

Very curious, but I'm pretty sure they only interview until the end of January, so I'm not expecting much to come of it.
 
Interesting. Just dug through the thread last year and one person got an interview invite email about a week and a half before the end of the month and interviewed on the last date (1/29). I guess now it's worth crossing my fingers. 🙂 :xf:

I interviewed at Penn recently and was told that the last interview dates are next week. Sorry dude, I know it's always a bummer when you find stuff like this out.
 
Has anyone been getting Diversity Office emails? They said they sent out emails sometimes but I haven't received any yet.

Yes, I believe the interviews end Jan 28th or something like that. (Obviously not an official word from any official person, just from what I've heard)
 
I got back from Penn on Friday night and have not been able to stop dreaming about it since. Sigh. March 15th feels like light years away...

I interviewed on Friday too! I completely understand how you feel... Oh please oh please oh please take me :scared:
 
OMG how is March 15 STILL so far away??

the days, they go by so slowly. so much torture.
 
Is it safe to assume that Penn is done with interview invites? I'm considering leaving the country for the next couple of week...

I'll probably call them to confirm on Monday.

Word on the street is that interviews are done for the season.

Thanks, man. It's okay, though. I never got my hopes up too high about Penn, and I'm really, really happy with where I've been accepted. Best of luck to you! March 14th will be here before you know it, but I'm sure March 15th will take FOREVER. 😉
