I updated them on one major change and since I was already writing an update, included minor update stuff with it.
That seems pretty reasonable. Good luck! Only a few more days left now!

How will they let us know? Via the status page, email or letter?
Is everyone getting these Penn Med emails about diversity and life in Philly? They seem awfully mean if there's still a chance of rejection!
Agreed. Difficult to see the point, and somewhat perplexing given how smooth and professional their admissions operation is.
I received the "Penn Med- Life in Philly" email today and the "Diversity at Penn Med" email on Monday. Are some people not receiving these? I just assumed they went to everyone. Why would they wait until 3/15 to announce decisions if they already have them made now though?
Yeah, I'm sure they're to everyone. It's getting me really excited about Penn/Philly, I just wish they'd send them after March 15 so I won't be that much more disappointed if I don't get in! 🙂

I personally like the fact that they're taking the time to send these things out. It means "Hey, we haven't forgotten about you" and it's a refreshing change from the radio silence similar institutions leave you with after you interview until mid-March.
The constant communication/staying in touch from Michigan and Penn are really nice touches by their offices. It shows they give a crap about us. 🙂
Wait, what? How does hitting send on a mass email mean anything? I guess it's a difference of opinion, but if there's anybody out there this after this cycle that says "I was on the fence, but those Penn emails put it over the top..." I'd give a penny for their thoughts.
So you guys would prefer complete radio silence until next month?
I guess I've gotten that from all of Penn's peer institutions. I don't really like it. At least this way I feel like I haven't slipped through the cracks, gotten lost in a pile or something.
But to each his or her own, right? 🙂
(Also, the 15 minutes they spent to write that email was more time and attention than lots of other places have bothered to spend post-interview!)

I think the emails/videos are going out to all the students who had interviews. I know when I was applying last year, I'd have loved to get something like this! Even though it seems impersonal, it's still nice to know they haven't forgotten about meRadio silence always gave me a creeping omg I'm out
feeling.
And on the subject of impersonal emails - the admissions decision email is pretty light on info actually. Last year, the email basically said (paraphrased, obviously) "hey there's an update on your admissions portal, you should go check it". Everyone scrambled to the admissions portal to check their status.
If it helps - last year we got our emails March 15th.
'Course that doesn't mean this year will go the same way...
I'm pretty sure they've been sent to everyone... but that doesn't stop my entire being from going into an adrenaline-fueled shock every time I see the "U Penn Admissions" tag in my inbox

Were all decisions via email?
Someone's up early 😉
I believe they report all decisions (Accepted, Waitlisted Tier 1, or Waitlisted Tier 2) via the status page. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe they reject anyone post-interview, though a tier 2 waitlist decision would be equivalent to one.
Does anyone have these figures for Penn?:
# applied
# interviewed
# accepted.. or % accepted from interviewed?
5919 applied,
866 interviewed,
222 were accepted,
154 enrolled

thanks, and goooooood luck everyone!
Intent is more of a waitlisting tool. You can turn in updates if you haven't yet. I feel like it's likely Penn already made (most of?) their accept decisions, but I really have no clue there. Is it too late to send a letter of intent / does anyone think it would be helpful at this point, or is that more of a thing to send if waitlisted?
Does anyone know if March 15 will definitely be the date? The portal says decisions will be released by March 15, but I don't remember if they said anything more specific on my interview day.
Love this school...it's going to come down to a tough decision no matter what happens
Well I got an email that I'm sure everyone got too about them finishing the interview process and are working to select the class. The email also mentioned that the date was going to be March 15th. That is as much as i know either way we only have one week left.....
Don't AMCAS regulations mandate that schools select their class by March 15? Or did I make that up?

So did everyone end up getting only the two emails from Penn (Diversity and Life in Philly)? They seem to parallel the videos on the status page, but there is a third video category on the status page titled "Community Service." I also don't really know the significance of receiving the emails at different times. Has anyone received any sorts of different correspondence from the admissions office?
Yes, I received those two e-mails, but I also got a third about them being done with the interview process.
Neither did I.<--Didn't get the notification of end of interview season. 👎
Neither did I.
Is anybody else secretly (or not-so-secretly) hoping that Penn is super nice and releases results this afternoon?
WOW!!!! I just checked the status page guys.... yeah!!!!!!!!!!
