High MCAT and low GPA definitely isn't the end for Toledo. I don't know about anyone else's stats, but I was in a similar situation and it worked out. Keep your hopes up!

thanks astarael! that def gives me some hope... ill be praying hard tonight!

Hey guys, I have been MIA. BUT I got accepted on 5/16th off the waitlist. I promise there is still hope. Good luck guys 🙂:luck: 👍
P.s I am OOS
Toledo here I come!!!! YAY!!!!

Hey guys, just withdrew my acceptance today. I hope that means there is good news for one of you today!

i thought we were supposed to find out where we are on the wait list 2 weeks ago?
does anyone know when they prioritize it?

Need some IS'ers to relinquish their seats. Most the of WL movements seems to be OOS. We should find out priorities this week?

Just got off the wait list today. OOS. Good luck everyone. I am still waiting on another wait list, but for now I am accepting.

Adarass when did you interivew?

I thought they were supposed to come up with a ranking first? Why are so many people getting in before a ranking?

Because there are open spots and they haven't gotten a change to rank the WL.

I interviewed 3/21 and I got wait listed shortly thereafter. They told us at the interview that they have sent more acceptances than their class size so acceptances will be tight.

I also asked them about the wait list positions on the 16th or 17th and they said they will be working on them and letting everyone know soon.

I interviewed on the last day (4/18), and was pretty much told that at best I would be waitlisted.

Sure enough, I was...oddly, the waitlist letter was sent to my permanent address (no email)...but then less than a week after I was accepted (via email). Very excited but not sure yet whether I will accept over my current school choice.

FYI: I am an ohio resident, my mcat was a little less than the school's average but I had good grades & extras at a good university.

Best of luck to all those still waiting to hear! Keep on trucking'!

anyone know if they will prioritize the wl today?
i dont think i can wait much longer lol

Just got the e-mail at 1:15. I'm high priority. I really hope this isn't a slower than usual year because I would prefer Toledo over the school where I have currently been accepted.

Me too! Good luck to everyone!

Got the wait list email as well, assigned to high priority. Good news. Waiting sure is harder than it sounds.

high priority too. Seems like a lot of people are on the high priority.

High priority = acceptance? (from the past year)

At my interview day, I recall one of the faculty saying that they typically get through the entire high priority part of the alternate list. I really hope this holds true for this year.

To quote Scrubs, "If you are trying to Kelly Ripa me right now, I will freak out".

He actually said that they get through half of the alternate list usually which means all of high priority and half of middle priority. However it seems like the last couple years there has been slightly less movement but hopefully that still means good things for high priority.

high priority as well
seems like alot of ppl are in the top 1/3
I wish everyone luck

Does anyone know how many people are on the alternate list (and thus how many are in each third?)

I would bet anything that they don't get through the entire high priority WL. I bet the OOS WL moves quite a bit, but I have a feeling the IS WL will be slow this year.

Edit: Also, I didn't see anywhere in the email that said the WL was broken down into thirds, it could be quartiles or whatever.

What makes you say that about OOS vs IS movement?

Does anyone know if someone on the High priority section in the last 3 years has NOT got in?

is it pretty much a "teaser acceptance" for OOS at least?

Most of the movement on here has been OOS (which I'm sure there is at least as much movement not reported on this site). Additionally, OSU over-accepted so unless IS students are getting of the WL at some top-notch schools, I don't see them going anywhere else. While, the OOS students tend to select their state schools. It all comes down to money.

I counted 8 people so far.
People who were placed into middle/low priority tend to not come here an post about it judging from last years thread...

seems like there are alot of high p. OOSers though..
This is my only shot at med school, so im praying hard

Lets make a list of everyone on the HP list:
RanRun -OOS
Be Legendary
unleash500
Captain Hammer
SomeGuy89
Clevelandreason
RZimmer
TravisG

Feel free to add your self, also, it would help to say whether your IS or OOS

i think bungie is IS and clevelandreason is probably IS unless he really loves cleveland and lives OOS

added myself. also, OOS.

seems like there are a ton of OOSers on HP

I know some of you already mentioned this... but does it really seem like there are a lot of HP people? It does make sense that people in middle or low priority would not want to post that information, but still...

The other thing I wonder (and maybe a quick phone call can result in an exact answer) is whether or not the HP is ranked as well... meaning, each section (HP, MP, LP) has the applicants ranked 1 through X. If that is the case, and we are allowed to receive that information, it might give us all a bit of relief...

The waiting game is, well, tough. After seeing the school, UT jumped right to the top of my list... but the only concern is finding an apartment, and that too in a decent area, with enough time to prepare for first day of class! Does anyone else hold a bit of the same anxiety? Especially for those OOS who never went to an OOS school and need to fly/drive/ride into town and locate a place to live.

I pray for all of our success. It's tough...

Quick question. I am not sure if its been brought up before, but I've heard that southeastern Michigan counties get in state tuition and some Ohio residents get in state at some Michigan universities. I was just wondering if anyone knows about this. I know Monroe county does, but I know the law school extends residency to a few other counties as well.
