I was expecting people to hear a lot of news from WF today...

So I tried contacting Ilene Tise via email about a waitlist position and she said that she was "able to tell me anything at this time." Anyone else hear the same thing?
Also, I could swear I'm the only one that checks this thread. It seems like a ghost town....

I'm still here, as WFUSM is my only waitlist (no acceptances at this point). I'm hoping for the best, obviously, but have already started filling out the dreaded AMCAS again.
Yeah I called too and they said they couldn't tell me anything. This is my only waitlist too...I really don't want to apply again.
But looking at last year's thread compared to this year it doesn't seem like many people have posted this year that they got off the waitlist. Hopefully we will see some more movement soon!

I'm thinking that people received acceptances on May 16th and have two weeks to decide, which would mean that the next wave of acceptances would be the 31st of June or so....
Just for future ref, I believe her name is Mrs. Irene Tise.
I called into WF today. Mrs. Irene Tise is on vacation, so the lady recommended calling in on Monday about a waitlist stance. But she did mention that there are about 12 people they are waiting to hear back from that hold multiple acceptances. She also mentioned that there are just under 200 people on the waitlist 😱 I hope they like the way my name looks

Hey I'm bringing a car because I decided to live in an apartment complex 10 min drive from the school. A lot of med students decide to live very close to the med school (walking distance) so some choose not to have a car.
As for how necessary it would be to have a car... well I would think that it's pretty necessary because Winston is a city, but a city where you need a car to get anywhere. So grocery shopping and etc would be very difficult if you didn't have a car. Good luck

when were you accepted? I called Irene Tise on Monday and she was pretty vague about where on the waitlist I was. Nor did she give any good news, which I've accepted to be bad news. I'm not too disappointed though; I feel like its closure with WF 🙂 We had a good run, Wake. We had a good run.
Does anyone know where I can get a Wake Forest University School of Medicine License plate or do they make such a thing? I've looked all over the net and at their online bookstore, nothing but just Wake Forest University shirts. Thanks!

Good lord... school starts in a week.... just when I had gotten used to waking up at 10 every morning.
They have them in the hospital gift shop. I stopped by there a few days ago, all the SOM stuff was half off. I bought mugs for my parentals.
