Some insightful tidbits for those interviewing soon:
Although it seems like a lot of people's interviews were pretty conversational, not all interviewers were like that. Be prepared to answer lots of detailed questions. My first interviewer was really friendly, but asked me all kinds of questions on virtually everything on my AMCAS. My other interviewer was incredibly intimidating and questioned if I even had a strong enough background in biology to go to medical school (I'm an engineer but taking advanced bio classes this semester). He showed me the door around 25 minutes into what was supposed to be an hour long interview

. My student hostess (who was super cool and went above and beyond) said he is just an intimidating person, so I'm trying not to take it personally. This was my first interview and I only had a vague idea what to expect. I'm sure if I had interviewed towards the end of my most-likely-over med school interview trail it wouldn't have been as bad.
The tour does not include the main campus, but it's not too far and there are a lot of shuttles in that direction. Go after you're done for the day. However, the tour guides took us to the anatomy lab (really gorgeous and doesn't smell like formaldehyde) and the medical library (gorgeous as well). At the basement of the med school library, we saw the Cushing Tumor registry, which are jars of preserved brains and parts of brains that all have tumors in them. Suuuuper Cool! There is also a financial aid workshop. After touring campus and talking to students, you'll be psyched to go to yale, but once you find out it costs $300,000 to go, you will no longer want to go there, unless your parents are wealthy or poor. Overall, great day. In an ideal world, I would looove to go there if accepted. Realistically, I doubt I will matriculate. I simply can't justify the expense. Yale is awesome, but not $300,000 worth of awesome.
My 2 cents. Hope it helps!
