yeah that's weird... i was told by a nice lady from the admissions on the phone that emails and mails will be sent out today and tomorrow at the latest. 😕 since it's 5pm in nyc i assume that we won't hear back today...

however, it is reassuring that they are sending out emails for sure this time based on phone comfirmations other SDNers made with P&S

So obviously the ship has sailed on the possibility of emails today. That makes sense; I wouldn't imagine they'd send any emails until they had verified that all the actual decision letters had been sent. If we have confirmation that they were sending them to the mail room today, I think tomorrow is definitely likely.

The experience wouldn't quite be same (or as neurotic) without SDN in my life.

Haha, well it's pretty neurotic compared to what I'm used to. I'm usually really chill and relaxed all the time, even under stressful situations. But getting into med school is just another beast altogether. I've gone through a lot to be in this position just like everyone else here has I'm sure.. getting into Columbia would be a dream come true. It'll feel like 10000lbs were lifted off of my shoulders! At least if it doesn't work out I still have Cornell to look forward to and Emory and Medical College of Georgia after that.

You know, that's true, with all the talk about emails, we really hadn't ruled out a phone call. That would explain why RogueUnicorn hedged in suggesting there would be variability in when admitted applicants would find out.

So looks like call is the M.O. I have to say, I love the personal touch that gives.

Hi all, thank you for all of the kind words!!! I'm sorry I feel kind of weird sharing my interviewer's name. Also, now I feel bad for letting the cat out of the bag b/c I'm realizing these phone calls could take forever. I hope you all get a call and that I will see you next year!

PS - I know there's a good amount of movement on P&S's waitlist, so don't lose hope!

Ahh congratulations!! So... phone calls. Nobody saw that coming haha. I'm hoping I get one soon too.. otherwise I'll assume that I got rejected or waitlisted
