Have any WICHE applicant's received an interview invite here yet?
I'm finally complete at UoA-Phx! I've lived in Tempe for a little over a year now and would love to stay.![]()
+1I think the first interview is 9/12, so no one's been to it yet. Just wear casual wear and be comfortable. I don't think jeans will be that much of a problem when it's just a welcome dinner. Just be neat 😎
Weird.I'm trying to send in my secondary. Anybody else have this??
"Welcome
Thank you for your interest in The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix.
We are currently not accepting any secondary appplication[sic]."
Weird.
I submitted last week and it worked fine.
You got an email inviting you to complete the secondary?
And you are submitting within 30 days of that email?
Good luck to those interviewing on Monday![]()
I hope to see everyone at the night before mixer tomorrow
You're competing against the other people on your interview date ... so avoid being friendly.
Aw. I thought we all had fun!

I also got that message. Did you figure it out yet? I just emailed them.
They were super friendly and helpful.
Great to hear some positive feedback about Phoenix interviews. Hope everyone did well on it. Can't wait till 9/26 for my interview (less than 2 weeks left; time really flies) Was seriously thinking about driving to Phoenix from LA, do the interview on Monday, and drive to New Orleans for another interview on Friday, but came back to senses lol. Can't imagine driving back 😱
But seriously they're only accepting 10-12 per date? That means they'll only accept ~120 for a class of 80! That's pretty low compared to other schools, which accept around twice the class size. Hope it means wait list is slightly less competitive
Congrats 👍II this afternoon! OOS, got my complete email on Sept. 9
After pouring over SDN posts plus a few quick google searches, I am unable to conclude whether SPLC (Scholarly Project Learning Curriculum) is mandatory for COM-PHX students? In other words, should one be accepted into Regular MD program at COM-PHX, is completion of a 4-yr research project expected from that student?
That's so weird how the school pits you against the other people interviewing with you for the same seats. Doesn't seem like a pleasant atmosphere at all. What's the point of doing this?

Random hold is random.
Pessimistic applicant is pessimistic.
I just meant it's weird how you compete against people who interviewed the same day. Thats all. But ya, it's still better than what Tucson did to a lot of us today. Random hold is random.
Just went to the student mixer tonight and the people are amazing! The MS1 and MS2 students who hosted us were incredibly nice, supportive, informative, and everything positive that you can expect. Will keep this thread updated after my interview tomorrow 😎
